He probably taped Angle talking about the match so he knew what to expect.

The Angle Slam is way better than the F.U and the lame assed Diamond Cutter rip off R.K.O

I have no real issue with the Angle Slam, as it was a move he used in amature competition, but if it's a finisher, then finish somebody with it.

Why all the fuss over a finisher looking weak? The biggest draw in wrestling history used a leg drop as his finisher.

True, but this is Kurt Angle, a technical wizard. Hogan...was...um..orange. Roided oompa loompas are allowed to drop a leg, Olympic Heroes must bring more.

In my opinion, any finisher that has the opponent landing on their back is weak. Wrestlers get suplexed and body slammed all the time, just because you give it a name doesn't mean those moves suddenly become finishers.
The best finishers are either submissions, moves which target the head, or something big off the ropes.

I like the Angle Slam, but I wish he would use the one off the top more. Or atleast they could put it in a game.

I will defend the Angle Slam by saying that I watched him win his first WWE title with it against the Rock at No Mercy 2000. Back then, he hit that and it was over. Now, you are right, but I think that it's due to Cena having this amazing power to defeat Kurt Angle over and over again.

When I saw Hardcore Holly kick out of the Angle Slam on freaking VELOCITY, I knew that was it for the move.

I like the Angle Slam, but I wish he would use the one off the top more. Or atleast they could put it in a game. Off the top-rope it is a nice looking move. Steiner used to use it often during his championship run in WCW, didn't finish with it but he could have. From the mat it just doesn't look like a finisher. Hell the German-suplex looks like more of a finisher than that.

The thing is, half the time it doesn't look like a credible finish. The rest of the time, it looks fantastic. He should use a judgement slam, or something new... freshen up the character a little bit. Maybe a schwein. I love the look of the judgement slam on SvsR06, have never seen it outside of that game, but judging how the opponent lands on their head, I doubt Vince would ever allow such a move.

Finishers usually start to look more like crap over time (see Stunner, Walls of Jericho, Pedigree). Yeah, it always seems like they eventually just start phoning it in. Like, the FU used to look pretty good, [glow=red,2,300] but now Cena doesn't even drop to his knees anymore[/glow] ;D
