I've read reports that Fandango is Vince's new pet project, but what is that Vince actually sees in the wrestler, gimmick, character, that he has givin him a WM spot with a almost certain win over Y2J a awesome theatric entrance and well TV time. We can all agree its more than just another dancing gimmick, and his leg drop looks impressive, what does Vince see?

....Mr. McMahon will be in his bunk.

One thing that makes Johnny Curtis stand out from the other athletic pretty boy types (eg. John Morrison and Evan Bourne) is that he's a really comfortable talker and promo guy. He has no difficulties with speaking, even when he's saying something that is completely ridiculous (remember his pun promos, or "Dirty Curty?").
So here you have a guy who's got a very presentable look, and he can talk fairly well. But he's also no liability in the ring, and he seems to be able to draw heat (from the little that I've seen). And that's what makes him a cut above the rest. He may not be a total package, like on the level of someone like Macho Man, but he's got too much of an upside to not put to use.

I go on a lot of Facebook wrestling pages, and the majority of them are worthless "AtituDE Era 4 LIFe!" pages littered with morons, but what's interesting is that a lot of these pages mark for the bad guys' the Shield, Punk etc.. but EVERYONE hates Fandango. Dude looks to be that all too rare breed - a heel who gets heel heat.

I gotta admit, on paper, I dismissed him as pure wrestlecrap. But the angle with Jericho has been incredible. It doesn't hurt that Fandango actually knows how to act like a heel,

If you want to see why Curtis is awesome just watch clips from NXT Redemption, he was the best part of it.

Didn't Colt Cabana say on his podcast that when Fandango had his job interview with Vince that Vince emotionally opened up to him about his failures and regrets in his life. One of my favourite stories on the Art of Wrestling. I love Vince.

I will hug anyone who links me to that episode (I don't remember that story for some reason)

It'll be a short term gimmick but it's a good one. It stands out. He could be a solid mid-card act if booked properly, which of course he won't be.

They say his legs are so beautiful, Vince makes him cover them up and only he can view them for 30 seconds every day.

God help us all if WWE seriously tries to push Fandango. Even without the idiocy of the "I won't wrestle till you pronounce my name right" storyline, at the end of the day it's a guy doing a dancing gimmick that can't dance. It reminds me of Foley's book where he mentioned his time in Memphis where he carried a bull whip but never cracked it because he didn't know how and fans caught on (ditto the Dynamic Dudes with the skateboards and Van Hammer with the guitar).
Seriously, Fandango as a main event heel? The guy is doing a gimmick that would put him at home with Disco Inferno and Alex Wright in 1998 era WCW. 15 years ago the guy wouldn't even be TV title material.

I'd like him more if I knew Curtis wasn't better suited for something else. Like pouring milk on his head for example.
But seriously, Dirty Curty should have been on the main roster.
