Bah, the Game of Thrones fan in me would've gone with the title pun of Kings' Landing.

Well if the Knicks can win tonight, they help themself with insurance, incase they fall to 3, it is better to play the Hawks than the Bulls. Plus I rather have the Bulls on the Heat side of the bracket.

Knicks win their 10th straight. Melo followed with 50 point performance with a 40 point one.

Thanks to everyone for being cool with me spamming the old thread with Kings news. Today was extremely important to me and I appreciate nobody getting pissed about me posting Kings news.
I'm feeling really confident about the team staying in Sacramento after what transpired today. The press conferences were night and day with Sacramento looking more like the side that's in the driver seat.

It's more interesting than most of the NBA action that's happening right now, given that it's just playoff seed shuffling time.

I'm actually surprised that Boston and Milwaukee haven't mathematically clinched spots yet. There's such a huge gulf between the Bucks at #8 and the Sixers at #9.
Hoping the Knicks stay in the two spot. Or that Chicago can make it into the #5 spot. I want nothing of the Bulls in the first round. Atlanta or Boston would be more favorable matchups IMO. I just want them to make it to the second round or win the division. Making it to the conference finals would be a nice cherry on top. I have no delusions about them being able to beat the Heat in the postseason.

ESPN has Boston clinching a spot. Milwaukee has a magic number of 3 to get spot #8.

It's going to take me a while to get used to the new look of the forum. Weird to see it this way at the moment! Knicks are on their winning ways ever since Amare has been out. Once again it appears they're better off without him.

It really has nothing to do with Amare being out. That west coast trip was godawful and he wasn't there for that either. It has more to do with Melo and JR Smith both being in beast mode and K-Mart adding some toughness and chemistry to the team, especially when he's on the floor with Carmelo and Kidd.
I know Amare's an easy target, but his injury is like a complete non-factor on how the Knicks are playing right now.
The only change I'd make is starting Martin over Shump. I know Woodson's been playing Martin a lot anyway and Shump's a solid, young player. And the three guards starting thing works. But I'd prefer Martin starting as a true power forward and with Melo playing the 3 spot.

Since Melo works as a sort of knock off LeBron in the post, they can just keep feeding him the ball since he can beat almost anyone, which means less ill-advised jumpers and more efficiency with Melo dishing it when he gets doubled. That's why I liked Woodson as CotY candidate until the Miami offense happened.

Potentially bad injury to Denver's Gallinari.
If it's bad, there's goes the biggest threat to Spurs-Thunder II in the WCF.

The initial tests on Danilo Gallinari suggest that he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee on Thursday.

Really bad break for Gallo. Really liked the way he played while he was on the Knicks.
Hope he has a swift recovery.
