It was on Showtime Extreme. It had a WWE Studios logo added to the beginning but, other than that, nothing was changed. I was shocked to find this on TV. Hogan's acting was terrible but the movie falls in a "so bad it's good" category. Anyone else seen this?

It was pretty crazy actually. I DVR'ed that WWE Films movie that Edge and Jamie Kennedy had called "Bending The Rules" and then at the end I saw that No Holds Barred was coming on. Which was awesome to see them showing two WWE movies back to back.
So I DVR'ed NHB the next time it came on, and it's as hilarious as always.

I rented this around the late 90s at Blockbuster. At the time they were starting a thing where if you didn't like the movie you could bring it back for (I can't remember if it was) a refund or exchange. NHB was so awful I took it to my grandfather who took it back and exchanged it for another video. Hogan is so bad an actor and his movies are written so awful that it's almost like a Scary Movie-like spoof on bad silly wrestling movies.

I remember when NHB first came out; I kept thinking how cheesy this movie was, yet found parts of it quite amusing. I guess you could call it one of those guilty pleasure movies.

I saw it in the theater when it first came out. I love that movie because it is so hilarious.
Hogan vs. Mr. Brell was a proto-Austin/McMahon feud

I actually bought the DVD a few days before Christmas last December.
Anyway, I remember watching this on TBS back in 1998 right after Thunder and I remember thinking it was entertaining, but even I thought it was really cheesy. I even remember watching it again on WGN as well. It is enjoyable for what it is, though.
I am amazed that this was given a theatrical release and a Summer release at that.

Damn I am gonna have to check if it replays!!!
TMC seems to have a deal with WWE studios or something because they have been airing a lot of their movies lately sans The Marine and 12 rounds.

I've never gotten around to seeing it. Is it true that the number of barred holds in the movie is, in fact, zero? That's impressive.

Ive never seen it! But read the Wrestlecrap review.
Jockass, is the greatest insult ever!!!!
Also I don't know why Tiny Lister gets so much heat, he was fun in the fifth Element and was good in the Dark Knight.

Well, that is because Fox distributed the movies and HBO owns the first run rights to movies from Fox. Showtime/TMC did have the rights to "The Condemned" and "See No Evil," but I think it was because at one point, they had rights to movies from Lionsgate.
