Either Super Mario Bros. or Pro Wrestling. Odd thing, the second title defense against Amazon would always be the toughest.

I'm surprised a lot of people's first experience beating a video game was DuckTales on the NES. DuckTales was also my first game completed, followed shortly after by Super Mario Bros. I think when I eventually get a Wii U, the first game I'll beat will be the DuckTales remake!

Unreal Tournament Which is funny, because when I've re-played it recently, Xan (final boss) kicks my butt all the time now. 10 year old me > 21 year old me

It was probably Zelda 1, though it could have been Mega Man or Ninja Gaiden.

I wanna say Toy Story 2. Before that, the only games I had on PS1 were Resident Evil and the Oddworld games, which my parents played and Gran Turismo, which you can't really complete.

Probably Sonic the Hedgehog due to commodore 64 games having a tendancy to crash after a while (and taking 30 minutes+ to load.), i'd say that's most likely mine as well. (followed by golden axe and many others.)

Honestly, probably the original Mortal Kombat. Unless you wanna count Donkey Kong, that just loops. Those old games have what's known as "Kill Screens". Hardcore gamers don't consider a game beaten unless you've reached the kill screen. Check out the documentary King Of Kong: A fistfull of quarters. This is one of the main guys from the movie hitting a donkey kong kill screen. Oh hell dude, I got King of Kong on DVD. I know exactly who that is. That's why I said "unless you want to count it". Technically I beat all the stages, but like I said, it just loops. Plus it was the NES one which IIRC has no killscreen. Now, first game I have ever SEEN beaten was my aunt beating the original Legend of Zelda.
