Damn ROH's tag division is stacked right now. It's seriously carrying the company. They just need an identifiable TV division besides Lethal and Taven and they'll be set.

I know the Cyclones have really started pushing Field of Honor in the last week so thought I'd check the tickets again and largest number of seats I could get together was 2 in the VIP first row (they were gone the next time I tried though). Single tickets were throughout the seating but that is much better than a week or two back when you could get 8 VIP front row seats together and 12 together in the other sections.
Really hoping this does well for ROH but they're getting paid no matter what so I just hope the crowd isn't an embarrassment.
Did see someone on Reddit claim that Meltzer said officials from NJPW would be at Field of Honor to talk about possibly having the ROH Title defended on one of their bigger shows (I think it was Wrestle Kingdom). Really hoping if true they put the title on Cole at FoH.

Raymond Rowe of War Machine is out indefinitely after a bad motorcycle accident. Beside the usual cuts and bruises, he suffered a badly broken arm that will need surgery..

1. Rocky Romero is complete ass, I don't care what anyone says. 2. That Seleziya promo confused me. So, she gladly got fired from HOT and said she was gonna join something bigger...so she went right back to Truth Martini. What? Girl is foine though.

As one of the co founders of the "GOOD LORD, ROH! PUSH MARK BRISCOE!" club along with Ric, I feel this only helps our case.

Another more detailed report from PWInsider: {Spoiler} 8/15 ROH FIELD OF HONOR IN BROOKLYN, NY LIVE REPORT by Mike Johnson @ 1:19 AM on 8/16/2014
Ring of Honor debuted in Brooklyn, NY on Friday 8/15 with "Field of Honor" at MCU Park in Brooklyn, NY, the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, a minor league New York Mets affiliate.
The outdoor stadium show was one of the biggest venues ever run by the promotion in it's 12 year history. The show drew around 1,500 (I have heard there was an advance of around 850), which was considered a good crowd for a Friday in a new venue in an area they've never run.
The Cyclones organization came to ROH about running the event and were responsible for the lion's share of the local promotion. In past years, when the organization had TNA events and promoted them hard to their fan base (and at Mets games), the shows drew pretty well. When they didn't promote them hard, the crowds dropped. There was hardly any real promotion for ROH until the last few weeks and considering the best way for a show like this to draw is to bring in the local Brooklyn community, that kept the crowd from being larger. The fans that were there seemed to be 70% ROH/hardcore wrestling fans and 30% locals.
Before the show, the roster was thrilled about working the venue and most of the crew actually played several innings of baseball together in the afternoon.
Before the show, former ECW and ROH champion Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles, Maria Kanellis, Christopher Daniels, ROH champion Michael Elgin, Kazarian and ROH TV champion Jay Lethal all signed for fans. At the same time, Cyclones mascot Sandy The Seagull, Larry Legend and Many Leone warmed up the fans in the stands.
Scarlett Bordeaux sang the national anthem to open the show.
They announced the announcers, Joe Dombrowski (filling in for Kevin Kelly, who had a conflict and could not make it) and Steve Corino. Corino came out dressed in a full baseball player's uniform with a ROH logo jersey. Ring announcer Bobby Cruise gave him a baseball-esque introduction. Later on during intermission, Corino and Cruise played catch.
*ROH TV champion Jay Lethal pinned Matt Tavenin a steel cage match. The cage was assembled so the company could hold that first and not spend time putting up and taking down the cage while fans were waiting. Taven nailed a dive through the cage as Lethal was preparing to enter, which started things off super hot. They brawled around ringside and tossed each other into barriers for a long time. The crowd was loving it. Taven beat Lethal down and chased Truth Martini into the cage but was attacked by Lethal. They went back and forth and had a great match. Selezia took a great bump off the cage into Martini's arms at one point. The highlight was Taven recreating the Superfly Splash off the top of the cage perfectly on Lethal, but Martini interfered and broke up the pin. Lethal finally pinned Taven. This may have been the best Taven bout in ROH. Really top notch and intense stuff here.
They held a short intermission to get the cage down.
*Mark Briscoe pinned Takaaki Watanabe. Good solid match. Briscoe whipped out the Cactus elbow off the apron and won with a flying elbow drop off the top. The Redneck Kung Fu was super over. The Briscoes are opening a school shortly in Delaware.
*Moose and RD Evans defeated Bob Evans and Cheeseburger. Good promo from Veda Scott before the match. She really is a hell of a promo. Moose is super green but incredibly powerful and when he nails a spear it's awesome. Cheeseburger and Evans are a great underneath cult deal. It was interesting watching the crowd as the ROH regulars were into the deal but the locals were sort of confused by all the characters.
*Michael Bennett pinned Rocky Romero with the spear. Good back and forth match. Maria Kanellis and Bennett are a top notch act together and Bennett continues to improve. Lots of spot on wrestling here.
*The Decade defeated three ROH Academy students. This was supposed to be War Machine vs. The Decade but Raymond Rowe was hurt in a motorcycle wreck earlier in the week. I didn't catch the names of the students due to the sound system but they all worked hard and looked good. I'll update once I confirm the names. Jimmy Jacobs did mic work knocking Daniels and Kazarian before the match, which would come back into play later. The story of the bout was the bully villain veterans beating down the young upstarts who came back with some hot offense at the end before being taken out. The Decade continued working over them until Hanson, the other member of War Machine, hit the ring with an axehandle and ran them off.
*Silas Young defeated Tomasso Ciampa. Lots of good mat work here and some great, great, great back and forth counter-wrestling and near falls. There may have been something of a heel turn here as Ciampa slapped referee Paul Turner over the loss and tried to powerbomb him but was stopped by the other officials. He later slugged another.
*Cedric Alexander pinned ACH. Good match marred early by the crowd chanting back and forth at each other while pretty much ignoring the match. What basically happened is there is a regular teenaged kid at the NYC indy shows who dresses like CM Punk and calls attention to himself. He started his antics and that led to fans catcalling him and others in the more expensive seats, so those fans responded to the fans in the cheaper seats and it turned into a chant-fest. It was really annoying, especially when ACH and Alexander were pulling off some great wrestling in the ring. There was some really great, stiff back and forth wrestling especially in the last few minutes. ACH was going for a dive but was cut off with a brutal forearm and drilled down with a twisting powerbomb.
*ROH Tag Team chains ReDragon defeated Chris Daniels & Frankie Kazarian after The Decade interfered. This was set up by the aforemented promo from Jimmy Jacobs earlier in the night. Daniels hit the BME but Jacobs distracted the referee by getting on the apron. Daniels went after him but was attacked by BJ Whitmer and Roderick Strong, Kazarian joined the fray but was nailed from behind by Bobby Fish. ReDragon double teamed Daniels and scored the pin before Kazarian was able to break up the pin. Good stuff which felt like it may have been a TV angle.
They took another intermission at 9:30 so fans could enjoy the weekly traditional Friday night fireworks. The stadium began playing music over their sound system to go with the fireworks and when they began playing Europe's "Final Countdown", which was Bryan Danielson's theme, the stadium popped and began singing along.
ROH champion Michael Elgin defeated IWGP Heavyweight champion AJ Styles, Adam Cole, and Jay Briscoe in a great Four way. Lots of good brawling, spectacular spots and really good athletic wrestling with every combination you could think of in the ring including a Tower of Doom spot. Styles and Cole were awesome in the ring together. Elgin looked like a beast and scored the pin with the Elgin Bomb on Cole. Really great main.
Notes: All of ROH management were in attendance and the hope is that this can lead to additional similar shows next year....Former ECW star Joel Gertner and Brian XL were visiting at the show...Tiger Hatori from New Japan was in attendance.....The show was shot with a four camera shoot, including two handhelds at ringside and two hard cams shooting from opposite ends....ROH created and sold special baseballs signed by the roster emblazoned with the ROH logo as special limited edition items created specifically for the event....There were at least two instances of fans throwing things at the ring or at wrestlers when they came out from the dugout. Security was on them immediately with warnings....ROH returns on Sunday 12/7 to NYC at Terminal 5, a club in the city that used to known as the Mirage and hosted the very first WWF Shotgun Saturday Night taping. Since it's a Sunday, I'm going to predict that will be the company's return to PPV, although no one has said that to me.

Ok, I was at Field of Honor and I thought I might throw out a few things about my experience. Just for the record, while I follow ROH semi-regularly I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore fan and there were a few guys I wasn't familiar with. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}The crowd looked to be about a little smaller then the crowd TNA drew to the show last year. I guess ROH could call this a win since, unlike TNA, they don't have a two hour national cable television show to promote the event on.
Scarlett Bordeaux sang the National Anthem and, well, she's no Lillian Garcia. She wasn't horrible but she shouldn't quit her day job. She also seemed to stumble on the words at one point.
Steve Corino's entrance in full baseball uniform was more entertaining then his entire ECW run.
While the cage match was fun I had a hard time getting into it. I don't know, something about Matt Taven just doesn't work for me as a babyface.
At one point Truth Martini decided to run the bases on the field which the crowd enjoyed.
Veda Scott is incredibly hot, I just feel the need to say that.
Cheeseburger and RD Evan's were fun when they were in their match together. Moose looked ok running through a few power spots. I don't know much about Bob Evan's but man did he look awful. Luckily he wasn't in the match too often.
After the match RD decided to run the bases too which came off surprisingly epic looking with his theme song playing.
I don't know, the six man just felt like it went to long for a glorified squash match. Although it did get fun when the jobbers started to fight back.
During the Young-Ciampa match a black woman in the crowds who had been riling up the crowd all night started calling Ciampa "skull booty" and the crowd started chanting along to it.
Yeah between the CM Punk kid and the previously mentioned black woman nobody was paying any attention to the first half of the ACH-Alexander match, which was a shame because from what I could see it looked like they were doing some good stuff. At one point they were in the middle of a combination and then just kinda stopped to look at the crowd to see what the hell was going on. The ending of the match looked particularly brutal and I'm not sure ACH didn't break his neck on it.
During the tag title match on at least three different occasions fans tried to throw a streamer at the ring mid-match. In addition to being dangerous to the wrestlers it also gets distracting when the rest of the crowd starts booing them and they decide to argue back. Security really needed to do more about this.
The main event was really fun but almost everybody I was sitting near was confused as to whether it was a one-fall match or elimination rules. Styles was really over and got a standing ovation coming out. I'm hoping ROH is building up to a big Elgin-Styles Champion vs. Champion match.
Over-all I enjoyed the show. Lots of good wrestling and everything felt more focused then it did at TNA's show last year, although there were noticeably less kids at this years show which was a shame. But at least we didn't get a 45 minute intermission just so Earl Hebner could sell t-shirts.

If I may add to this, I was sitting two rows in front of the woman. While she was a touch on the profane side, she didn't strike me as trying to get herself over so much as she was having a great time and just was cheering as best as she could for wrestlers she wasn't familiar with. I'd actually say a good 40% of the crowd was unfamiliar with ROH, but it's a big TNA and family-friendly area, so people were buzzing for Styles and Daniels and trying to figure out the characters as the night went on. That's why you'll read the wrestlers with the most obvious characters were getting the biggest reactions. Anyway, this woman was in row P or Q or so and was cheering from her seat most of the night (frequently calling Ciampa "Skullbooty," getting the entire crowd to chant "Skullbooty," "Let's go Skullbooty" and, when the aforementioned moment with the chairs came up "Hardcore Skullbooty." The woman wasn't a smark in the slightest and was just super enthusiastic, which the fans seemed to appreciate, at one point giving her a "next world champ" and "this girl rules" chant, both of which, while sincere, made her sit down because I think she wanted to respect the show. Once ACH comes out for her match, she falls head over heels in love and runs down the stairs to cheer for him. Every move he nails, she enthusiastically cheers and starts yelling "THAT'S MY BABY DADDY!" The crowd continues to like her and begins cheering for ACH as "BA-BY DAD-DY (clap-clap-clapclapclap)." She was wearing blue like ACH was, so she's also yelling things like "We match, bae!" and, after Alexander hit a devastating move, "It's ok baby, I'll rub one out for you later." This angers the fans in the expensive VIP seats who hate fun or something and start yelling "SHUT THE f*** UP!" At one point, the aforementioned CM Punk kid starts to get into it with ACH's "Baby Mamma" making her supporters chant "LET HER SPEAK!" I think she legit felt some type of way because she went to her seat after. I should note that during this match, both competitors seemed confused, and understandably so, looking befuddled at the "baby daddy" chants. After that match was intermission and a lot of fans went up to get pictures with her. No joke, some of the wrestlers themselves, who I won't mention, must have appreciated her enthusiasm because they went into the stands to get pictures with her too. I took someone who wasn't familiar with ROH at all, and this woman's sheer zeal for a product she didn't know was infectious enough to get the person I brought as well as plenty of other new fans to lose their inhibitions and become red hot for the show. So, that's why I guess I feel the need to defend this woman as someone other than a fan trying to get herself over.
