The WWE is still going to acknowlege Cena as a babyface (and imply Ryback is turning heel), but it's clearly obvious that Cena IS acting like a heel, or working up the ire of the dissidents, and on this logic, Ryback is still a babyface.

That entire promo was awesome and the ''heel turn'' had me laughing again.
Though,I really don't know how right it is for the top face of the company who just earned a championship getting boo'd during his celebration.

He is the smuggest, most arrogant piece of shit human being ever. His whole feud with the Rock, for the last two years has shown that. He's the kind of guy at school everyone hates.

Oddly, if he were a heel, this would fine praise on the internet for some reason. Heel: Yeah this guy rules! Face: What a dick, why are we cheering this guy?! or Face: What a dork, why did they take away all his cockiness and make him so nice? STOP BEING SO HUMBLE AND RESPECTFUL!

Oddly, at the high school I went to, his types actually mostly left people alone. It was the stoners (of all people) and the 'rebel' types who liked to make trouble for people at my school. And bear in mind that for the vast majority of my time there, I was the single most hated person in that school (which only stopped until someone else openly celebrated the death of a classmate that bullied him, and even moreso after someone thought they'd earn popularity by attacking me, only for them to end up falling to the bottom of the social ladder after their attempt failed spectacularly). The people with Cena's personality type never had a problem with me.

Usually it's the "outcasts" who think that they're being rebelious are the ones being assholes to everyone.

I quite like Cena when he's switched on, and last night basically just made me f***ing love the guy. The way he was playing the crowd was perfect.

To paraphrase the Penguin, he played that stinkin' crowd like a harp from hell.
While "badass but still fun loving face Cena" is still my favorite incarnation of his, he honestly would be a fantastic heel if or when they decided to pull the trigger. In fact, some of his mugging and the way he teased the audience gave me vibes of Edge at his peak. Another reason why I maintain he's underrated when fans talk about WWE's top all around talents.

See, this is m thinking, if they let him or had him turn, he's got the mannerisms down pat. Lose at last year's Mania and talk about how "once isn't enough" and demand oen more shot. Then win and when authority tells him about the rematch clause, the response of "I already beat him once, once in a lifetime best of three?" had a great smug delivery.

Thoroughly entertaining. He felt so relaxed and real, that's the John Cena I want to see.

I think one thing that tends to stick in my craw with Cena is that it always feels like he's holding back. Most of his interviews, most of his matches. I know he works himself into the dirt, so maybe I'm expecting too much of him, but it feels like we're never quite getting a fully invested Cena, pulling out all the stops.

The jocks were actually really funny, open-minded, friendly people for the most part. Of course, they were also the stoners, so we had some cross-breed thing going on there.

I still say that not turning heel is the most heel thing Cena can do. Exactly.

I didn't even get his "heel turn" joke at first, it was my wife who laughed at it. Very well done. Agreed, he was great tonight.

If heels started befriending Cena randomly and the guy started going after tweeners like Orton and Ryback then Cena would seem more like a heel without doing much.

I want to see a heel do this too. Have them "turn face" by having the camera zoom in while they turn their head back and forth
