Final question before I go to bed. Were they humming a guy's entrance music, or were they chanting his name?
Goodnight.

The comparison is because people said the same thing about Ryback when "Feed me more" started getting chanted. And when "smarks on a 'mania high" took over Wrestlemania and the Raw after with "Yes" chants. The latter especialy started under literally the exact same conditions and had people claiming it didn't mean he was over. I don't at all see how someone's theme song can draw such a huge reaction and become a thing, and this not be proof that just maybe the guy who the element is exclusive to might just be over. It's like claiming that Kurt Angle wasn't over, singing "You suck" along with his theme music was over. Again, here we go with the "Insert Legendary Credible Professional Wrestler Here" wasn't over, "Insert a chant or saying of said wrestler" was over. STOP comparing Fandango to those men, it's stupid. What has Fandango accomplished? Honestly, what? Other than being put over by Jericho and people humming his song? Go ahead, hit me with Fandango's WWE accolades! You guys keep comparing him to Rock, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle and whatnot, so he's gotta have matched accomplishments right? Ryback is a legendary and credible wrestler? Okay, sure. Your logic is circular here. You're saying he's not over, his chant over. We point out other people who if they didn't start with a chant, signified the overness of the wrestler by said chant. Oh, they don't count? Why? Because they're over. And Fandango isn't over. Why isn't he over? They're just humming his song. Know who wasn't over? Rob Conway. He came out to nothing every night. When they don't care about you they don't cheer, they don't boo, they don't clap. They do nothing. If anyone knows that giving any manner of reaction is something, it'd be smarks, no? If they react, it means he's over. This is kind of basic stuff.

Final question before I go to bed. Were they humming a guy's entrance music, or were they chanting his name? Goodnight. Were they humming a GUY'S entrance music, or were they chanting HIS name? It's not like they started humming Goldust's theme during Fandango's match. Though the fans were humming Fandango's theme during the main event of Raw. But yeah, totally not over at all!

Guy's over. The theme is over and he got cheered when he said his name while writhing in pain.

Can't we just enjoy what's happening without having to second guess things and dampen our own expectations. Right now Fandango is fun. What else matters?

All I know right now is that a bunch of people are talking about Fandango and having fun. And considering how much negativity passes through these parts, I'd rather we just let people have their fun.

One crowd. In NEW JERSEY. After WRESTLEMANIA. And all of a sudden he's over? You guys seriously can't wait a couple weeks to see if he's TRULY over? Or are you guys gonna keep riding this post-mania high? You can't wait a couple of weeks before declaring he's NOT over?

We had this same negativity over Bryan after the Night Of A Thousand YES's. He is over. Something attached to him is over, whether its his theme, his name, a finisher, whatever. HE is over.

Same here. So many seem to be "happy" to sit back and wait for WWE to ruin things, that they miss out on enjoying the things while they're around. It's Big Yellow Taxi all up in here.

I think the theme song being over is part and parcel of him being over. They are interconnected.
There have been wrestlers with cool themes who don't get much love. Obviously, there's appeal in the Fandango character himself for crowds to care. I mean, it's impossible to separate the two or say that one would have happened without the other. Austin was a great talent, and Austin 3:16 is an immensely catchy tag line. Hulk Hogan had loads of charisma, but he also had tons of great trimmings: a ridiculously catchy theme, a cool look, the term "Hulkamaniacs." Kurt Angle had a great character, which is why people took to chanting "You suck" during his theme.
No need to be so cynical and uppity so early when fans are clearly enjoying Fandango--the character and the theme alike--and the guy has been around, what, two or three months? You don't even have a good argument for why he's not over either. You saying "But he's not over!!!" doesn't constitute one if there is evidence otherwise (such as the fans digging him saying his name). Hell, I'd even say, the 'You can't wrestle' chants from a week or two back constitute overness because it was clearly not a knock on his actual wrestling ability but rather his character's arrogance and unwillingness to wrestle at all.

Final question before I go to bed. Were they humming a guy's entrance music, or were they chanting his name? Goodnight. Ryback isn't over because they are chanting Feed Me More instead of saying Feed Me Ryback! DX wasn't over because the crowed chanted Suck It instead of Suck DX. Daniel Bryan isn't over cause they are chanting Yes instead of his name! That's my final question before I go to bed.

Guy's over. The theme is over and he got cheered when he said his name while writhing in pain. On Monday night he was over as over can be. Whether he will be next Monday will be fun to find out. I'm hoping this is the start of something beautiful.

I'm not part of those "on-board" this weird Fandango thing, but I'm not going to deny them their enjoyment of it.

Can't we just enjoy what's happening without having to second guess things and dampen our own expectations. Right now Fandango is fun. What else matters? Agreed one billion percent. The thing I loved most about the Fandango chant was the one that took place after the show. It wasn't a crowd trying to get themselves over. It wasn't a crowd sending a message to Vince and Triple H. It was a crowd simply enjoying themselves at a wrestling show. A lot of folks could take a lesson from that...
