And the fact that you dubbed the drink as "god awful" is probably why I stick to the classic stuff. A mudslide is completely different than just adult chocolate milk. Mudslides are made with Kahluah which is a coffee based liqueur and it wouldn't give you the desired taste if you wanted something like chocolate milk. I know there is an actual cocktail called a mudslide but like I said there was an RTD in New Zealand called mudslide which was just chocolate milk mixed with cheep vodka. But as far as my Drink of choice goes Its beer as I'm not really big on spirits or wine. Next week I will be giving my latest batch of homebrewed cinnamon spiced wheat beer a try.

I love any and all alcohol but my staples are gin and tonics and whiskey gingers. Lately I've been on a huge Fireball Whisky kick so I've been doing shots of that like it's going out of style. I've also been experimenting with it and Fireball Manhattans are absolutely amazing. Just tried Fireball not too long ago, it's awesome. Have been meaning to pick up a bottle to experiment with. My favorites as far as alcoholic drinks go are either Canadian Club & Coke or a Cuba Libre. Non-alcoholic, I really enjoy root beers, especially Boylan, Weinhards, and Goose Island. I also have a great fondness for Goose Island's Spicy Ginger soda, but that is a pain in the ass to find. Here's another good drink with fireball(goldschlager works too) take 1.5 or 2 ounces fireball then add 4 ounces of unfiltered apple juice, shake with ice in a Boston shaker, serve up in a martini glass, top with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick for garnish. I call it a goldrush when I use goldschlager(named after the 49ers cheerleaders) and it tastes like apple pie.

Honestly as I am just a social drinker that doesn't often drink, I am still trying to find my drink of choice. So far my favorite drink has been a really sweet varient of the Long Island Iced Tea.
My favorite namely because it isn't bitter or burning like most alcohols. I've tried so far.

Oh Long Island Iced Teas....so many wasted night, especially the way I like them i.e. with an extra shot of whiskey.

Mango rum is my favorite. There's a brand around here - pretty much tastes like mango all the way through, while providing a decent amount of alcohol. For a similarly light taste, another brand here sells rice wine. Weak, but I prefer it over beer. For stronger stuff, tequila. Anyway, I was at a Korean convenience store a while back, and I saw that they sell these large bags of chili powder. I might have to experiment a bit, one of these days.
For non-alcoholic stuff; chocolate milk is stuff from the gods. I also love fruit yogurt milk. As for coke, either it has no ice but cold at a point before the contents start to freeze, or the stuff they have in McDonalds. Watered down... hell, I can see water when they get poured into the cup, but as it happens the water balances it out, making it very easy to drink in an instant.

Jack and Coke mixed right is awesome, though it sucks when they overdo either ingredient.

Triple gin/tonic, preferably Beefeater. If beer, Delerium Tremens. If wine, free Charles Shaw red at art shows.

Coca-Cola and loads of it!
But I drink scotch and coke if I want to be sociable.
