Alright here's the deal: I'm thinking of training to be a wrestler next summer. I was looking at some sites and most guys who train prefere to wrestle a "strong style" of wrestling. Can anyone explain what it is and give an example?

Alright here's the deal: I'm thinking of training to be a wrestler next summer. I was looking at some sites and most guys who train prefere to wrestle a "strong style" of wrestling. Can anyone explain what it is and give an example? There's 2 forms of Strong Style. There's the power move form used by Kensuke Sasake, Nakanishi, and Tenzan sort of a European/Texan style. Then there's the more mixed martial arts/submission based movesets used by Tatsumi Fujinami, Shin'ya Hashimoto, and Tiger Mask. Kenta Kobashi, Mitsuhara Misawa, and Toshiaki Kawada use king's road style. Which is a lot of high impact moves and brawling, some times combined with martial arts and submissions are used, but sparsely... The common misconception is that STrong Style is used by all of japan, and that all puro guys dive off the top rope, or do death matches Japan is just as varied as USA when it comes to different styles. American Strong Style is BS, because Joe, Low Ki, Davey Richards, and Super Dragon wrestle more of a Lucha Libre influenced style. When people think strong style because a guy throws a couple of kicks, then does an STF...it's bs... Oh and New Japan has instituted a Safe Style, Piledrivers and head droppy moves are sparsely seen, (well besides' A-train's Mt. Fuji Driver Gorilla press Michinoku Driver).... Yeah yeah...
