....Did they just flip opponents? Sprinkle in some Miz (Who was IC champ, lost to Kofi, feuded with Cesaro over the US title, then won the IC belt from Wade only to lose it the next day) and call it a day.

This really bugs me. There needs to be a much deeper midcard than this. There isn't an actual midcard anymore. It's just that Cesaro is "too new to give up on just yet", and Wade, Kofi, Miz and to a lesser extent R-Truth are just the guys who are "too established to not be doing anything".

We badly need a handful of NXT callups straight away.

We badly need a handful of NXT callups straight away. They've got guys already on the roster that could be impressive if given an opportunity. Where the hell have JTG, Justin Gabriel, or Tyson Kidd been the past year? Even if you don't think he's got the goods, Brodus Clay would at least be an interesting title contender.

True there are plenty of undercard talent that should be used as solid midcarders that can create a bit of variation. Justin Gabriel should be solidly in the midcard and should be getting IC/US title shots.

Yeah, it really bugs me that Brodus Clay has more wins on his record than losses, yet hasn't received a shot at ANY title.

Yeah, it really bugs me that Brodus Clay has more wins on his record than losses, yet hasn't received a shot at ANY title. Yet most title holders actually have losing records. It's almost like...wins/losses don't matter :/ The WWE has no much damn talent that they don't use, and when they are used, it's jobber fodder to everybody else. What a waste of talent and money. Why can't a champion take on all comers? Why can't we have an actual division with rankings rather then the extremely lazy "beats champion in non-title match to get a title shot at the PPV" which does NOTHING but devalue the title more and more.

What is the point in championships anymore? I don't understand why they're doing this. I didn't catch RAW last night but after checking out the results, I'm baffled.
Why are you giving these guys championships and then booking them to lose all the time? I don't even understand the point of their existence?!

At least Gabriel went after the US title for a little bit up to Hell in a Cell.

I really think Tyson Kidd getting injured derailed their plans for the midcard a lot. He was getting this heavy push with high-profile PPV matches and I think he would've been a fine IC champion after Cody Rhodes first dropped the updated white-strap back. But he got injured and they just figured 'give it to Kofi' and thus the stale cycle began anew.

Sandow with a title could be fantastic.
They could have Cody with the IC and Sandow with the US.

Justin Gabriel should be solidly in the midcard and should be getting IC/US title shots. It's just bizarre. It seems like in WWE these days, whenever they need a challenger they'll just debut someone new instead of doing something with the many, many people doing absolutely nothing, and if you ever sink to the point that you're losing on Superstars you're completely finished and your career will basically consist of nothing but, with basically no chances to advance. Like, compared to what Yoshi Tatsu's doing nowadays, it's sort of mindblowing that there was a time when Cena was a gimmick-less nobody doing nothing but losing. If that whole thing happened today, they might've shown his rapping skills on TV in only the one initial segment that's never mentioned again then he'd have been relegated to Velocity before eventually getting fired.

I like how out of the original Nexus their leader ends up as a midcarder and the Cornfed meathead Skip Sheffield ends up in the main event, heck yeah he did.
