I'd like to think that Ryback took the time to edit in those clips himself rather than someone from the production truck doing it.
But yeah, I liked it. It was intense. It was too the point. It was no nonsense. And it offered a convincing argument.
The only thing I didn't like, which isn't Ryback's fault, is that WWE is pitching the promo as a heel promo when it should have been a pissed off babyface promo. Because John Cena has to look like the traditional babyface good guy which is stale as dirt rather than the smug jerkoff tweener/heel that he plays so well.
Cheer Cena, damn it!

Don't think he got it in one take though, could have just been my screen but at least twice I think I caught the camera on him fading back in on him.

I loved it. And it does suck they are actually moving forward with the heel turn. I hate cena so much when is isn't opposite CM Punk. It's weird that they spent so many months making Ryback look like a bitch for him to now be facing Cena for the title. I hope Ryback wins, I really do, but the fact that he is heel, and has not won a ppv match in ever? Really clouds that.
The promo was awesome, but did go a little long. Would have been better without the clips.

While he's not quite Bully Ray in explaining a heel turn via 5 months of storylines, he did an effective job; far better than any other promo I've seen him as Ryback or Sheffield.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they were also using the video clips to cover that it was filmed in segments. Which is not to say that it wasn't a good promo, but then Kofi was great in that backstage segment where he trashed Orton's car, and never managed to capture that same fire in front of a live crowd.

It was pretty good though I think it went on slightly too long.
Still definitely the best promo Ryback has ever had, and didn't try spending the time making goofy food puns.

It just sucks when a guy CLEARLY in the right is booed. Ryback had a point in Cena abandoning him, so he repays him and he's the bad guy? I know it's against Cena, so Ryback will automatically turn heel, but it's happened before with Jericho/Michaels, and other countless times in the past. Nothing has convinced me to boo Ryback after Raw tonight. He is absolutely in the right here.

Well for one of the attacks he was blaming Cena for Cena was already knocked out...
Not to mention Ryback has shown capable of beating multiple competitors at once...

Really good promo. Even if it might have been edited, it was the first serious long Ryback promo in which the epic feeling expectations must be met and he delivered.

I was impressed at how logical it was with Ryback having Cena's back with the Shield but it not being reciprocated. I'd like to think that was planned all along.

Pretty good stuff, and it made sense, but it felt like the longest promo in wrestling history.

Pretty good stuff, and it made sense, but it felt like the longest promo in wrestling history. A Triple H promo from the Reign of Terror era says "Uh". His actions were explained in a logically manner with his Shield beatdowns and loses fueling his anger against Cena. His promo played like a political ad with Cena playing the role of the heavy.

I liked the promo, and I still felt there were too many forced "ON THE TABLE" comments that made me question if they were really going with that. Nice and effective. It's funny because (since it was before my time), I saw the Randy Savage promo recently where he talked about Hogan being a showboat interspliced with clips. The only thing is that where Savage came off as overly paranoid when it came to Elizabeth, Ryback's been on the money as far as I can tell. Unless they shoehorn the "Be a man, 'Back!" thing into it.

Just watched it on WWE.com. Excellent. For the first time as a viewer, I can honestly accept Ryback as a main eventer now. Very subtle storytelling with the cinematography, too. Ryback is being consumed by the darkness.

That was, easily, his best promo.
He didn't wander, he didn't screw up his intentions. The only thing that sucks was due to the fact that they want him to become a bad guy. Cena's the one that's stale and obnoxious... let the fans be allowed to cheer Ryback on. I know I am.
The irony of this is that, in spite of this, there is the outside chance of Ryback still remaining a babyface in some capacity. Ryback appreciated Cena letting him take his spot for the WWE title, and he acknowledged his own missteps when it came to Cena, but he feels like that he's screwed up his golden chance and wants to prove that he can do it and be the WWE Champion, and that's why Cena is his target. And, some well-known babyfaces have allowed their "partners" to deal with hazardous situations and left them behind.
