At Monday’s RAW from Greenville, South Carolina, a fan reportedly held up a “RAW Is Generico” sign and was moved by security, taken from his paid seat to the opposite side of the arena and a seat filler took his seat at ringside. The fan asked security why he was being moved and was told the people running the show didn’t want him sitting there because of his sign.
The fan reportedly asked if they could just take the sign and let him sit at ringside but was told by a security guard that he was about to be kicked out because the people running the show, presumably WWE officials, didn’t want him there. Another guard told the fan that wasn’t correct, they just didn’t want him in front of the camera. Apparently another man who was sitting with the fan also had his seats changed after he was seen holding up a sign related to Ring of Honor.

I didn't see anything posted on this and I thought for sure somebody would.

Sure, but they let the guy with the "Fergie is a wanker" sign sit there all night.
Not that I mind the sign like, he's right. But still.

Yet that somehow was above board. They must not have put two and two together with this one.

The more appropriate sign would had been Raw is Sami Zayn.

It wouldn't suprise me if the "higher ups" had no clue who El Generico was and thought it was a sign insulting Raw for being "generic"

If true, its weird that they went through the hassle of moving him instead of just taking the sign.

I guess I'm inclined to believe they took his sign, but that wasn't a good enough story so the "being told to move" was an embellishment. Either that or they did something a little nasty they are omitting.
Because who doesn't love a good story. Although truthfully I guess it wouldn't surprise me if it was somewhat true.

Somehow, I think there's a little bit more to this story than what's being let on.

If true, its weird that they went through the hassle of moving him instead of just taking the sign. Sounds like an arena security thing and not WWE. WWE normally just asks for the sign to not be held up and then takes it if people don't comply.

Obvious there's always bias in stories like this from both sides but if that story is anywhere near the truth then that is absolutely disgusting. WWE has no right to treat people like that. Whoever made the call to treat them that way (again if that story is true) should be fired.

Jeez, I remember a Raw a few years ago after Night Of Champions (the Raw featuring Edge vs Laptop) and I had all sorts of RoH type signs, including a "Daniel Bryan: Bringing HONOR To The RING" Sat front row camera side, and all they did was take my signs and give me a free Crew T-shirt.

Maybe this will serve as a warning for fans to not bring up random signs that have nothing to do with WWE but with other companies. From what I read the guys who brought Owen/Benoit signs got the same treatment. And rightfully so, that was done in poor taste.
