At least they're admitting it.
Now, everyone just needs to accept that it will never change.

Superman is actually an interesting character in the hands of the right writers and has evolved as a character.

Umm, no. He started being called "SuperCena" exactly because of what he did in the ring. I swear, is WWE trying to take everything, misunderstand it, and then present it like something they're on board with?

if superman stands for truth and justice shouldn't R-Truth and the Shield be representing him and not cena?

I think people started turning on him when he dropped his white rapper gimmick then more people did once their booing didn't result in a gimmick change and he continued to be booked stronger. So, I agree with WWE.

So, I agree with WWE. Didn't the booing start more from him feuding with guys that like Jericho, Christian, and Edge that were way more loved than Cena was? Cena was still white-hot when he was drafted to Raw, but they really mismatched him feud-wise. Also, I'm legit curious if crowds that boo Cena even know why they're booing him.

I mean read around. It's pretty obvious that people's favorites aren't criticized for doing the same things their least favorite's do

I think Cena's gotten better at the whole "no selling" thing. Aside from that one cage match with Ziggler, I can't remember any recent time when he was presented as indestructible in a match.

I think it's more that people didn't like him for those reasons, rather than not liking his personality and thus criticizing him more harshly. It's probably a mix of both.

Which is mainly why I never ever saw any threads or posts about SuperPunk. Hrm. SuperCena to me will always represent how he truly does come off as indestructible. The only time I've felt that he's shown that he went through a war/a physically grueling contest is after his match against Lesnar. If Daniel Bryan got the shit kicked out of him for 15 minutes and still won his match and acted like nothing had happened, then yeah. I'd cry foul instantly. This is just me getting bent out of shape about the "IF YOUR FAVORITES DID IT YOU WOULDN'T COMPLAIN" thing, because until I see it, I won't complain. I've seen it with Cena. I'm going to complain about it.

It didn't stop people from seeing him as indestructible (kryptonite aside).

Figures WWE.com wouldn't get that "SuperCena" is sarcastic. People don't call him "SuperCena" because he's heroic or inspiring, or any of that revisionist silliness. It's entirely because of his booking, and the fact that they (WWE) paintbrush him as this unflinching moral character, when in reality said morals are entirely predicated (or ignored) based on whatever story or direction WWE wants to go in.
