He is way too small for WWE. He's billed at 5 foot 8 which probably means he's 5'6 or 5'7 in reality. He's 208 pounds and to be at that weight at 5'7-5'8 you have to be on the juice. So he can't get much bigger weight wise and he's a short guy. When was the last time WWE had a 5'7 guy on their roster other than Mysterio and Sin Cara (Arguably 2 of the best Lucha stars of all time) The odds of Davey Richards going to WWE are very very slim. He's a talented indy guy but he's indy for life in my opinion. Eddie Guerrero was billed as 5'8. And I'm happy about this and hope he does sign.

I would love it if he was signed and instead of being the tough guy badass he wants to be they gave him the goofiest gimmick possible. Right now I'm leaning towards stripping fireman, but if some FAN members can think of goofier stuff for Davey to be I'm all ears. Son of Shango: The lovechild of Papa Shango & the Fabulous Moolah's ghost. CruTwo: Failed clone of Jamie Noble that has become self-aware and seeks to destroy the Cruiserweight Division. Upon finding out it's already dead, he becomes a Diva hair stylist named KweeThree. Rapid Dave: He joins up with Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter, speaking out against Sin Cara, who he thinks is Speedy Gonzales in disguise. Jack: A farmer that escaped the videogame Harvest Moon. He carries a variety of farm tools that he uses to attack opponents. He also seeks out to woo the Divas, often experiencing sappy, romantic moments with cheesy music in the background. Evad: Escaped mental patient that thinks he's John Cena's hat.

He should change his name to John Jackson.
When Eddie Edwards then gets signed, he can be Jack Johnson. They can be built as near identical tag partners who differ on key issues.

He would be great in the ring and being surrounded by the WWE egos would hopefully keep him in check. That being said, he just doesnt strike me as a great fit in the WWE for some reason.

Well I am happy. Not only does it get him out of the indies. But maybe he will succeed and never return. Though I see him having a similar trip to WWE as Kaval.

Richards is entertaining in his own right to me, but he doesnt have as much that defines him in a unique way like Low Ki does.

He could always have a Navy gimmick and have a cannon ball senton as a finisher and call it the Bombs Away

Great, now he can finally be a paramedic in a WWE backstage segment.
Seriously, smurf that guy.

So if he gets a Kaval-esque non-push, will he feel disrespected and run off with Vince's wallet?

I stopped following Ring of Honor in 2009 so forgive me if I'm out of the loop, but just WHAT happened between then and now? From the look of it, people sound like they want his blood. He used to be liked by majority of people back then, at least that's what it seemed like??

it's amazing how much the guy's stock has fallen. a couple years back he would've been another *shudder* indy darling. I defy you guys to name another big name indy guy who would earn this much vitriol for saying he might get signed by WWE. Johnny Gargano What did he do?

God no. He'd be done within a day for attitude problems after being brought in to get squashed by Lesnar and no-selling the F-5. He won't no-sell it. He'll just announce his retirement from atop Brock's shoulders.

IIRC, he and his posse basically bragged about beating the piss out of new guys because graahrespect, then he stiffed an indie promoter over an imagined slight because graahrespect, then when people called him out for being a douche, he gave out a typical non-apology and returned the money while acting like it was justified because graahrespect.

According to some, him being a second rate Chuck Taylor and an overbearing hipster doofus for starters. Also he dated Portia Perez so that's a strike.

Davey would have to really change his style to have a chance. People always joke about Daveys size but I didn't realise how small he really was till I saw him wrestle Hero. I get that Hero isn't exactly short himself but it looked like a man fighting a child.

He used to be liked by majority of people back then, at least that's what it seemed like?? ? ?? They claim all he does is no sell. He "stole" money from a promoter (which he sent back to the promoter 2 days later) just to prove a point. The whole Team Bandit video thing was basically NWA: Smoky Mountain's idea he said. Davey seems to get more hate than anyone who has stiffed wrestlers out of money and other wrestlers who really held up and stole money from promoters.
