At Royal Rumble 94 Luger and the Hitman was thrown out of the ring at the same time.
Do you think they did?
If one hit the ground first who do you think it was?
To me it seemed like Lugers legs hit the ground before Bret fell off him.
Just an opinion, though.

I must admit- they did a FANTASTIC job of making this work out- camera angles all took out the floor shot and they landed perfectly together- kudos to luger and bret for making an ending that COULD be botched easily work to perfection...
it's so funny on the tape when vince sees a new angle and goes, "Okayyyyyy- now THISSSSSSSS is the angle that we've been waiting for- clearly it's Luger!!!! ...or... is it Bret?" HAHAHA

It was probably the best booked finish to a Rumble Match. Wasnt Luger not even supposed to be allowed in the Rumble due to Cornette Stating a "No Rematch" Clause in his Title Match Contract from SummerSlam 1993? So How did they let Luger Compete? Or was that bit of the storyline just brushed over?

Also used when Paul Heyman told Benoit he would never get another shot at Lesnar, so Benoit entered the Rumble, only after winning he changed his mind and went after HHH. And the original plan for 2005 was that Randy Orton was to go on to win the Rumble and challenges HHH at Mania at Mania 21, only Orton failed to get over so they moved on to Batista.

If there can be 2 winners, then could there be no winner? I know 2 winners made for the better story, but were this a real competition, I think no winner would have been the better determination. Because whoever the winner was, he still got tossed out of the ring. Kind of a cheap victory if you still got tossed out of the ring.

It was better than the Cenatista ending actually I thought they landed basically at the same time as well. What I didn't like about it though, was that they just restarted it into a 1 on 1 over the top rope match. They should have had co winners again, no one would have predicted that. And it would have made sense, Batista was from Raw, and Cena Smackdown!. Cena would have gotten the title shot at JBL, while Batista would have gotten to face HHH. Just like it played out anyway.

The storyline was that WWE put up a poll on the Royal Rumble Hotline so the fans could've voted to either let Luger in the Rumble or to keep him out. So the fans voted let Luger in and the rest is history.

Well it actually made that Rumble interesting and furthered the intrigue that Hart had already garnered with Owen.

Has it ever been determined if this was a work or a shoot? I remember at the time, there was so much speculation and people were trying to come up with the biggest conspiracy theories.

I remember at the time, there was so much speculation and people were trying to come up with the biggest conspiracy theories. In James Guttman's book, he says that Batista slipped when he was throwing Cena out and it was a screw up, and that it was pure luck and brilliance that they covered it up the way they did. So if Batista didn't slip, then we wouldn't have had McMahon bust his quads. Oh how time would have changed.....
