I don't get it...
So you are suggesting
The Shield: Lesnar, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns with Paul Heyman versus
Evolution: Triple H, Undertaker, Orton, Batista with Ric Flair
If that's what you're suggesting, I don't think that's what they're building to, but it would make an intriguing and potentially big business Survivor Series match.

No that's not what I'm suggesting.
I'm saying the realization I came to is that since WrestleMania, The Shield has attempted to go after the two guys that beat both of Heyman's guys at WrestleMania

HHH stuffs them into a box labeled NXT while Undertaker tapes his fist. Then a returning MVP attacks with a screwdriver, but is scared off by an also returning Sid with scissors. HHH then gives everyone pedigrees.

Damn now I want to see him put his arms behind back, lean forward and then throw himself onto the floor...I think that he should do it when he retires fully burying himself thus giving full resolution and the accidental start of the zombie apocalypse.

At this point, having a mastermind behind the SHIELD would undermine them.
SHIELD are, so far, what Nexus should have been. A threatening faction who beat everyone.

No managers! No extra members! No one controlling the group!!! I'm fine with no extra members, but not the other two. In fact we've already seen the group being controlled after all, if Heyman didn't have some connection to them then he wouldn't have been able to set up the Maddox beatdown.

I would dig a storyline where The Shield stay as a 3 man group and start fueding with Trips, Orton and Flair, then the former 3 members of evolution are getting absolutely destroyed in the ring by The Shield (random attack or match will do) and Batista to runs in and levels things out a bit.
And you have your Survivor Series main event (3 on 4 tornado elimination rules or something)
In fact this would be awesome, it would allow them to bring a part timer in and actually work with new talent and it would allow Flair the chance to show up and do more than dancing around screaming "woo" at the miz. Randy Ortons already got history with The Shield which could be played up, and its not like ortons doing much and an "Evolution" reunion is probably a decent buyrate But Triple H would probably ruin it all.
The Shield have been built as such a strong 3 man group it is completely viable that it would take 4 people of evolutions calibre to even have a chance against them
