Yeah, Gardevoir is going to be a NIGHTMARE this gen. Do they have any idea what they've done!? They've just ensured that Clefairy is no longer my all-time favorite

Vivillon {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Noivern {Spoiler}{Spoiler} I'm in LOVE Vivillon's design. Vivillon looks interesting. We have our Butterfree-ish line for the game, apparently. Wonder if it is part Fairy as well? I'm only asking that cause it has a Sylveon-esque color scheme.

Gardevoir will probably still have trouble with a lot of Dragons. Without a Focus Sash, Haxorus, Dragonite, and others will just nuke her, and even if she has one, switching in will not be much easier for her.

I dunno, my Gardevoir in Black 2's pretty durable, and if you throw in an immunity to Dragon on top of it (and ditch the Dark weakness) then she'll probably be all the more amazing. Actually, wouldn't that make her only weaknesses Steel, Ghost, and Bug? Hardly the most terrifying trio of potential weaknesses.

She did not lose her Psychic type. If she got to be tough enough, more Dragons might just choose to use Crunch. Her defense, while better than Alakazam's, is not so hot.

Right, though I think Fairy was said to resist Dark. At the very least, it's strong against it.

It's going to be tough to know how this will all come together until more comes out. Moves and other possible ability or type changes could change things a lot. Besides, there was some rumoring that Fairy is weak against Fire. What dragon types don't get Fire Blast? Many carry it or Flamethrower already for steel types.

At any rate, any Hydregion going against Gardevoir is toast. A 4x weakness to Fairy? It hasn't got a chance.

At any rate, any Hydregion going against Gardevoir is toast. A 4x weakness to Fairy? It hasn't got a chance. It's faster. If it has Dark Pulse, it can flinch it, if the first hit doesn't kill it. Gardevoir is a good pokemon, and this will boost it, but the metagame will adapt around it. Also, Hydreigon has the attack stat to possibly go mixed, and Gardevoir isn't very good at standing up to even non-super effective hits on its Defense stat. If Gardevoir gets popular enough, they will likely carry something like Body Slam or other ways of making it difficult to switch Gardevoir in safely.

Also, do we know that Fairy is immune to Dragon for sure, or does it just hit Dragon super effectively? Even a resisted Draco Meteor is pretty dangerous.

A thought about Fairy types: obviously, there will be more Fairy pokemon. Clefairy being a no brainer.
Will Delcatty be a Fairy? If so, Adaptable could make it offensively quite viable, even with its poor stats. It doubles the power of same-type moves, not just 1.5x the power. With a Choice Scarf, it could be very good at getting revenge kills on Dragon types, sort of like what Mamoswine specializes in with Ice Shard.

OK. This is actually cool and makes sense. Pokemon SHOULD move in packs.

Yeah, loving the horde mechanic. Apparently, it will lead to 5 on 1 battles. Not sure if it'd be like rotation battles or them all attacking at once.

I wonder what the restrictions will be on 5 on 1 battles? I mean, I don't think we'll be running into 5 Charizards or Garchomps or anything. Man, 5 Garchomps at once? They'd beat the piss out of you so badly, your game data would be deleted with a message saying "Start again from Pokemon Red/Blue."

Soon as an Action Replay's made for the 3DS, there are going to start being challenges to come up with the most insane restrictions with which to beat five Arceuses.

Y'know, it just occurred to me - since X & Y are going up on the eShop, if you have multiple SD cards you could get all of the starters and any other choices very easily.
