There was an thread about a month ago about getting a million bucks and having to waste it in a day, and I just got to say, I would try to convince Mel Brooks, Larry David and the special guest to do a DVD commentary on Terror Firmer.

Dear lord, Kaufman is raunchy even for an AVGN episode. That was the most out-there episode he's ever done.

One of the best ones in a long time. Shame it took a guest appearance for that to happen.

I really dug this episode, But HOLY HELL it is getting slaughtered by his fans on Facebook and Youtube. I feel really bad for James.
PS. My Riff of his home movie 'Snix' is featured on the main page of Cinemassacre. And believe me his younger fan boys are troll happy when they don't get what you're trying to do. I think that might be what's happening on this new review as well. A lot of people who don't understand what Troma is and how influential that type of theater is.

I thought the episode was pretty good. I probably would've liked it more if I was more familiar with Lloyd Kaufman's work, but it was still alright. Better than the last episode, that's for sure.

good review, ending was a nice "tribute" to Troma.

This was the best in a long time. Lloyd Kaufman is the man.
What's this about it getting bad reviews from his fans? This thing had more laugh out loud moments than many of his other episodes combined.

Not really into this episode. Oh well. You aren't the only one. Not a horrible episode or anything, but I'm sure I'd mark out for it way more if I was a fan of these movies and stuff. Sadly, at the end of the day, I don't really care. Oh well, can't please 'em all.

I recognize Lloyd from the time he appeared on Doc Mock's Movie Mausoleum (iMockery). It's cool that he did this, but this is gonna be one of those "saw it once, never need to see it again" episodes for me.

I really enjoyed it, even those it shows a bit of a styles clash as Lloyd really thrives in an improv environment and James is far-better with a longwinder info-tainment scripted delivery. I can get why it turned his fans off, not so much that it's Lloyd, but rather the Nerd was, for the first time that I can recall, the straight-man. He also never really engaged in any sort of back-and-forth with Kaufman's retorts to his critiques and just kinda took it in the most un-nerd like fashion.
Also, I co-sign the Sega and Nintendo versions as fun beat-em-ups. The Sega one, if I recall correctly, has one of my favorite skateboarding levels in any game.
