Has the USA ever done one of these? I know they did just one earlier this year (Maybe last year) but before that was there ever a massive indy show featuring 1-2 matches from every top promotion?
Japanese promotions do this regularly and they always seem to draw quite well. A USA version featuring ROH, CZW, PWG, CHIKARA, Dragon Gate USA etc surely would be money right?

National Pro Wrestling Day seems to be the best bet. I don't think we got ROH, but plenty of companies joined in on the event.

More than a decade ago, a bunch of indy promotions did the Break the Barrier show. You can find on Youtube.
CZW did one at the Arena 2 years ago with Big Japan, DDT, and FREEDOMS. It helped laid the groundwork for WrestleCon. At WrestleCon instead of individual matches on one card, it's different promotions doing their own show.

My bad. Only got a few updates on the event, and didn't hear ROH mentioned.
But yeah. NPWD would be our Indy Wrestling Summit. Pretty fun from every account I've heard.

And one of the reasons DJ Hyde was mad that the people for National Pro Wrestling Day didn't want to book CZW originally. DJ had been pushing to do something like that with other indy feds ever since he bought CZW since he felt it would benefit every company by making them money and getting lesser known guys exposure... You know, not to thread jack, but the more that comes out about that the more I think DJ and CZW have a right to be pissed.

Quackenbush took guys were working with CZW on a regular basis and put them in matches under the Wrestling Is banner. CZW isn't the yardtard promotion they were a decade ago. I mean, Fighting Spirit is more worthy for a spot than CZW?

Well not just that, but Sabato writing that blog that had outright lies about CZW after NPWD (or about what they were going to do) and constantly taking shots at them via twitter. Also (whether he did it as a joke or not I don't know) but DJ was a bit annoyed at Maffew taking shots at CZW when he was promoting NPWD on Botchamania.

Who really believe that DJ and other members of CZW were going to commit career suicide and try to hijack the show? Not even Zandig would pull that kind of stunt.

Zandig might have. I mean he pushed his head booker down the steps because he didn't agree with a decision and (supposedly) paid Wifebeater to go beat up Johnny Kashmere. DJ wouldn't though. Had CZW kept their own show going that day, he might shoot, but he wasn't gonna do that at NPWD. He has too much respect for Quack and gives CHIKARA praise in every interview he does. But it wasn't just that note Sabato wrote. He also wrote how CZW said in a press release something like "The rest of the wrestling world fears what CZW is capable of" and used that to bash CZW for being unprofessional. But that was only part of the press release where it went on to say that the CZW officials hoped that their match at NPWD would help get rid of the negative perception that still surrounded the company. One of a few reasons why I am not a huge fan of Sabato
