My thoughts are in your article.
But yes, this was the only Mega Man game I ever OWNED in the original NES form.

I liked MM6. Sure it got released when the NES was on its last legs, but it some fun levels, a great soundtrack and some pretty good adjustments to the series. I liked both the power and jet armors.
Plus I liked that the translated version of the The Complete Works version on the Mega Man Anniversary collection has one of my favorite pieces of "engrish"
"Next up is Mr.X, he reads too much Manga, can you freeze his head?"

There is one other thing that I will have to say:
Had Capcom NOT decided to do the "twist" of Wily being the final thing, and actually had Mr. X actually BE Wily's financer, it could have been an interesting twist.
But we can't have that, can we?

one of the better ones. I really dug the fan-designed Robot Masters.

Centaur Man was an odd enemy. Really what could they have done for his special weapon? Horse shoe boomerangs or something? Of course we just got that lame Centaur flash. His level was pretty cool though.

His level was pretty cool though. In the arcade Megaman game he was in (don't remember if it was Power Battles or Power Fighters he was in) he had an energy bow and arrow weapon called Centaur Arrow.

I liked it, then again, I'm a pretty hardcore Megaman fan, even was when I was younger. I played this one, along with the rest of the original series, pretty religiously during my youth.
Also I admit I'm something of an oddity as I tend to prefer the later Megamans, this & 7 to some of the middle children like 4 and 5, which are generally regarded as superior games.

The only MM game I didn't own for the NES. Finally got to play it with the Anniversary Collection.

I can't remember much about it. I had it. I beat it...but the only things I remember are: an upgrade that let him fly, a tomahawk throwing Robot master and an oil themed master. I remember it came out for the NES a while after the SNES was already out which I thought was odd. That's really all I can remember about it.
