So I was at the grocery store this afternoon, and I was in the produce section and I heard someone say the name "John Cena" so it caused me to look up. About 10 feet away from me, there was a kid about 8 or 9 and he was wearing a Cena shirt walking around the store with his mom. The guy who was talking to him was about 35 years old and he kinda reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite's brother. I guess the guy had asked if the kid liked Cena. I then heard him ask the kid if he thought Cena would beat Ryback at Extreme Rules. The kid just kinda looked dumbfounded and shook his head yes. The guy said, "I'm going for Ryback. He's the best." Then preceded to do the "feed me more" complete with shoulder move thing. The kid just stared at him like he had two heads.
I went about my shopping and as I was checking out Ryback fan got behind me in line.
Here is a paraphrased transcript of our stupid conversation:
Me: So you like The Ryback, huh? Guy: Yeah, he's the best, but his name is just Ryback not THE Ryback. Me: I just said that as a joke. That's what Daniel Bryan calls him. Guy: Daniel Bryan is a goatface. Me: Well, he's probably my favorite. He's the best wrestler they have in the WWE. Guy: No, he sucks, Ryback beat him on Smackdown. Plus Ryback can lift like 200 pounds more than him, and he is ugly, he looks like a goat. He should go back to TNA where he came from. (By this time I was done checking out, so I had no interest in keeping the conversation going, so I didn't try to correct him and just waved as I walked away.)
Yes, it's true I do live in Memphis, but no, it was not Jerry Lawler.

Reminds me when I went to see Iron Man 3, I was wearing my Triple H jersey (can't find a picture of the given one, but it has a skull and King of Kings on the front and on the back it says Triple H with an oddly circular cross under it) and I ran into someone wearing a Best in the World shirt. Had a short discussion on that.

I loved him in TNA as Lloyd Boner.

Had you had a few seconds more time, you should have said "Who's been a World Champ already and who hasn't?"
That's what I would have done.

I worked with this wrestling fan back in 2007 who swore up and down that Joey Mercury wasn't really fired, but was now actually the top WWE talent scout. This was going to lead to my co-workers real life friend Derek Frazier coming in with a huge push. I'm guessing Frazier himself fed the guy this line of B.S.
And then there were all the "fake Undertaker/Ultimate Warrior/Kane" fans I met when I was a younger. These folks were all over the place back in my school days and they would not take "no" for an answer.

You should have asked him who his favorite Diva was. If he said anyone other than the Bellas, you should have then beaten him mercilessly with a bag of frozen peas.

Why is a lone guy that looks like Napoleon Dynamite's brother talking to random children in a grocery store?

I think it's funny that you met this Ryback fan at the grocery store.

I think it's funny that you met this Ryback fan at the grocery store. Ha! That hadn't crossed my mind. He definitely wasn't Ryback's kind of guy, all he was buying was bananas, tomatoes, and a cantaloupe.

The best part is him doing the "Feed Me More" taunt to some confused and probably scared kid.
