Franz Ferdinand. Amy Winehouse. Completely forgot about Amy Winehouse. She was ridiculously talented and had a bunch of straight up awesome songs.

There are probably a lot I like that came out since the 2000s, so it's hard to pick as I could name a list of at least 25. If I pick just 1, I'll go with MGMT.

Joe Bonamassa's first solo album came out in 2000, so probably him.

Tough to say as I mostly like acts that are at least rooted as far as back as the 1990s. One that comes to mind is Silverstein. However, while I loved their first album I never really bothered to listen to them much beyond that.

Every Time I Die started in the late 90s, I think, but their first album was released in 2001. So I'll say them.
Dillinger Escape Plan was around for a while, but I dig their lead singer, Greg Puciato, who joined the band in the 2000s.
I also like The Dear Hunter and The Protomen.

I've seen him on Just For Laughs a few times, I really, really like his material. It never seems to get old. I'd also love it if Heath Slater did him for Halloween but probably not many people would get it. I'll add Skrillex for me since it's the only thing that I know actually came out in the 2000s. I'm sure I have more, I'm just too lazy to come up with any. Once the list gets longer maybe, heh.

I would say The Strokes if they hadn't fallen off a cliff after Room On Fire (which itself wasn't half as good as Is This It). I disagree, their most recent album was great. The White Stripes (or anything Jack White) The Killers The Black Keys Arctic Monkeys Arcade Fire The Strokes of Montreal Franz Ferdinand Gorillaz Bloc Party Wolfmother Wax Fang Oberhofer Vampire Weekend Black Rebel Motorcycle Club The Black Angels Interpol The Kills The National The Raveonettes Yo La Tengo Unknown Mortal Orchestra only has two albums but their are amazing. Couldn't narrow it down. So many great bands, most are young and still up and coming. Unfortunately, many of them won't get out of the indie ghetto or will require a signing with a major record company to get big, like The Black Keys.

I admit he's a shitty person, and while I'm not a card carrying member of "Team Breezy", I admit the dude makes good music Justin Bieber after Believe.

However, while I loved their first album I never really bothered to listen to them much beyond that. They just got better and better, they are almost. Not as catchy but way more solid and better musicianship and writing.
