Anyone know why he doesn't wrestle anymore? Apparently he's not completely retired and I know he did the Extreme Reunion shows but why isn't he wrestling?

He got old. I mean the guy is 50 years old. He looked really bad in TNA a few years ago. So it was time to hang up his boots.

I'm pretty sure that he owns a construction business and makes a lot of money from that, so now he only wrestles when the money is right and he wants to have some fun.

Ya, considering all the shots and ill bumps this guy took, I think he has to be looked at as one of the guys who made a success of himself in this business, completely on the independent level.

Well he is old and for all the years of wrestling that hardcore style on top of the smoking and heavy drinking. Yeah your going to not age well. Yeah he does the ECW shows because that what sells. When fans go to an ECW reunion show they expect the Sandman. No Sandman it wouldn't be ECW. The guy seems to done well money wise. He doesn't need to be on the road like he once was. He has a kid as well who is growing up. I'm sure anybody would want him but does he want to still do it every week? He always going to popular. Former ECW, WWE, or WCW stars always draw in the indies. More so when nobody and I mean nobody gets a crowd going like this guy does.

I mean the shows he appears on. Of course he doesn't have to do the HIgh School gym show but you'd think he'd wrestle for Dreamers HOH and Extreme Reunion before it went out of business considering he was there for both events anyway.

Because he doesn't have to. The aging stars doing shows at VFWs in front of 20 people aren't usually doing it out of a love for the business. They're doing it for a payday. As mentioned, Sandman didn't use wrestling as his only form of income. He runs/ran a construction business as well that, at one time at least, was rather successful. Judging by the fact that he's now not taking bookings regularly makes me think that it must still be doing well. Not to mention, I doubt he was working for peanuts during his WCW and WWE stints. If he was smart with that money, it could have provided a nice little savings for him and his family to live off of. Or at least a good start to one.

I'm pretty sure I've heard he owns his own construction business, and that is doing well for him...
