Yoel Romero's apparently disappeared off the UFC's rankings overnight, leading some to think he's been released for juicing.
Poor Gay Jesus.

Kenny florian suspended by fox over plagiarism. Florian was set to call a UFc Fight night tomorrow, who is going to replace Florian on the show? Possibly Brian Stann. He calls fights on FS1 with Anik when Florian isn't around and he's good so he seems like a good option. Stann is also much, MUCH better than Florian.

Looks like it's Tony Ferguson vs Michael Johnson at UFC 197. A weird fight to make considering El Cucuy is on a 7 fight win streak and Johnson is on a 2 fight skid. Helwani is speculating that since Alvarez just fought and Kabib isn't ready yet and Ferguson wanted to fight before April when his child is born, he opted to avenge his 2012 loss to Johnson.

And also because Conor is getting RDA next.

Ronda hosting SNL tonight, don't usually watch that but I'll probably check it out. Or at least DVR it for tomorrow.

Stop me when this sounds familiar, Cain Velasquez is out with an injury. Stipe Miocic will now face Werdum on Feb. 6.

Helwani said something about Cain being healthy since June, but he was waiting for Werbum to get healthy and now he's injured again. I recall something Tom Lawlor said a week or so ago about the double edged sword gyms like AKA and that training style can be. Going 100% in practice can lead to greater professional success, but it also shortens your career considerably especially for someone like Cain who had a long wrestling career before he went into MMA.

True. At this point Cain is injury prone though and that factors into the grueling training at AKA. I hope DC is taking notes because he's up in age and can't afford to miss the time Cain has missed over the last few years. I believe Dana got up his back about this before and he told him something along the lines of you don't know what you are talking about. One thing is when you start costing Dana money he stops playing the favorite card and I assume Cain is going to get a earful from him.

I only read the comments lol. From what it seems she was somewhere in the middle but they protected her in regards to not leaving her out there with material she can't perform. Guess she's really getting into acting thing as her second career.

As MMATorch pointed out, Werdum could have fought again in 2015 but Dana insisted on this unnecessary rematch with Cain "They call me Mr. Glass" Velasquez.

Even ignoring all of Cains past injuries I can't even imagine how much Dana has to hate Cain at this point. First he takes out Dana's cash cow in Lesner. Then Dana see's Cain as a way to break into the mexican market so he puts Cain vs JDS on the very first FOX card and hypes it as the biggest HW fight in history and a fight that could take the UFC to new levels, Cain comes in looking soft and is finished in 64 seconds. But Dana sees dollar signs and he won't be deterred so once Cain wins the belt back he makes Cain vs Werdum in Mexico and throws the UFCs promotional weight behind it to finally make Cain into a star. Cain decides to ignore the advice of his coach and only arrives in Mexico two weeks before the fight because he isn't worried about the altitude. This is followed by Cain gassing early and getting dominated. Now at this point most people would see the writing on the wall but not Dana, he makes the healthy champ sit out so that Cain can be given a completely undeserved rematch only for Cain to pull out again.

Looks like the 196 main event will be different again. Now Werdum is out with an injury.

If it was up to me, I'd book Stipe vs Overeem for the interim title at UFC 196. That way the winner gets Werdum, the loser gets Caín and new match-ups in the heavyweight division can get made. Sounds like a good idea to me.
