Ronda hosting SNL tonight, don't usually watch that but I'll probably check it out. Or at least DVR it for tomorrow. Was it any good? Only thing i've heard so far is she finally congratulated HH on her win in her opening monologue. No fault of Ronda's, but it was a terrible episode. Opening sketch, with 2 stars who are no longer on the show, was good, there was a really funny sketch about a kid who had a 3 way with his teachers, and Update was solid. Rest was terrible.

Looks like the 196 main event will be different again. Now Werdum is out with an injury.

Okay cool. I figured she be one of those guest where they can't do much with her and expose her to stuff as minimal as possible. Good for her though, any time she does something like this she's going have to learn to poke fun at herself.

Judge has denied UFC's notion to hold ufc 198 in MSG, I guess UFC 198 may have to be held in Annaheim in the Honda Center (meaning they will have to work around potential Stanley Cup playoff conflicts as the ducks play at Honda Center)

UFC 196 will now be on FS1 with Hendricks-Thompson as the main. Is this the first time a numbered UFC event has ever been held on free TV rather than PPV. I can't remember it happening before. Although I know two shows were just flat out canceled. It makes UFC kind of look like crap when they have to downgrade a card like this just because one fight couldn't happen. Really, UFC should always have SOMETHING on the backburner that could add a little more intrigue to a card just in case. Their roster is freaking huge after all.

Is there any truth to the noise about Jon Jones willing to step into the heavyweight fight as a replacement?

Is there any truth to the noise about Jon Jones willing to step into the heavyweight fight as a replacement? He was on Twitter talking about being willing to fight Stipe if it were for the actual and not interim title.

That would've been amazing though there is no way Dana would strip Werdum for that (nor would I want him to). If there was any serious discussion of it, it's dead now since the card has been taken off PPV.

Shogun vs. Rashad set for UFC on Fox in April.
Crazy how this was once supposed to happen as a title fight in 2011.

UFC 196 has been renamed Fight Night 82, while 197 is now 196.
Meanwhile, Chael P. Sonnen is among those competing on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice (hosted by Schwarzenegger).

Benson Henderson has signed with Bellator. I am surprised the UFC waived its rights to give a matching offer. He has had his fair share of controversial wins, but he is a former champion, proven to be a top contender, able to compete at two weight classes, and has had moderate success in drawing viewership.

Book him in a fight with Michael Chandler as the main event and maybe that'll bring some legitimacy to Bellator after they've been relying on booking sideshow fights to get attention.
