Not much of a COD fan, but I'll just wait for the next Treyarch addition. Treyarch > Infinity Ward these days.

shockingly, Ghosts may be platinumable. Especially with a few co-op partners. But there are no trophies that can't technically be done offline. Most all of them are single player tasks (stuff like stab 6 soldiers while underwater). Probably the best load of CoD trophies ever.

IW, Neversoft, and Raven. Of all the CoD teams Raven is the best as far as skill goes. It shows int he fact their maps for MP are always the best. And this game has great MP maps.

I can say one thing. Gunfire sounds a hell of a lot better. It has always been weak sounding before, now we got some oomph! You know what else had good sounding gunfire? Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Wasn't bad when it actually played and wasn't glitching out. But it has been a weakness for CoD since Modern Warfare at least. They still can't touch what DICE does for gun sounds, but it is a step up.

2 levels left on Veteran, way easy than most of them. Still some frustrating deaths, but not quite as any. It does feature the return of an old CoD staple of enemies that keep spawning until you move forward. Some so places it is easier to just haul ass forward and let your guys kill the guys as you make the check point.

as an older gamer half the stuff I see being bragged about as "NEW" I saw in the late 90's in games like Unreal (the original) and Starsiege Tribes. Hell in Goldeneye (I believe) you could peek around a corner and fire.
But Val, in these NEW games you have momentum and it keeps you moving! Yeah, like in every NES game that had an ice level?

Hell in Goldeneye (I believe) you could peek around a corner and fire. It's pretty normal for yearly titles to hype up pretty basic features as after too many games in a franchise you kinda run out of stuff to get people excited about. It's like in WWE games where they will spend a month hyping up that you can spear someone through the barricade. The only really shitty thing they did was hype these features up in a way as if to imply they are ground breaking or new in any sense of the word. It's like the devs live in their own bubble and have been unaware of game development for the past 20 years, so all these basic things are the most amazing shit to them.

So there is a video going around showing a side by side between a cutscene from MW2 and a cutscene from Ghosts. They have the same exact animations. In other words, they lazily repurposed a cutscene from MW2 for this game. Come on guys.....

This was what I was talking about. Just f***ing lazy. Normally I'd defend CoD when people call it just a cheap cash in each year, but I can't really defend this game.

Normally I'd defend CoD when people call it just a cheap cash in each year, but I can't really defend this game. It's really interesting to see because it's a case of one of three things happened, they have a folder of animations and they just used this one not knowing or forgetting they'd already used it, they intentionally used it because they ran out of time to animate a new scene.... or they stopped caring and know people will buy it anyway. None of the options are good, one involves bad communication or asset use tracking, one is bad time management or production and one is just bad on every level. I've said for a few years now that the next wave of hardware should be an interesting time for the CoD franchise (and most AAA franchises) but if the devs seemingly just kinda give up like this it may not be as fun to watch as I predicted.

That isn't lazy, jeebus. It is an homage. The character in MW 2 being carried is named Ghost and wears a mask just like the characters in this game. That was planned. If Irrational had done the same from Bioshock to Bioshock Infinite, people would be all for it and support it.
