One of My favorite Superhero movies. Didn't care for the second one and from what I heard the third one not that good. What's everyone's opinion of it?

My favorite of the Marvel Phase 1 movies, and I think it was one of the better Superhero movies of the decade. I liked it a lot more than the Nolan Batman movies.
It's follow ups have been pretty weak, the second one seemed pointless and the third was just a little better to me, but I still love the first one.

All of the Phase 1 Marvel movies just felt like extended trailers for The Avengers in retrospect but this was one of the best ones. I HATED the second one but quite liked the third one.

It's a good movie, although some of the special effects are awful. But one of these movies is quite enough. I have no desire to see Iron Man 2 or Iron Man 3.

It's still the best Marvel film and for me has great replay value. I like Avengers and it's fun in the theater but watching it at home, I could only do it once.

Didn't care much for it. Without RDJ as Stark, there's nothing really to grab my attention and the villain was lackluster.

I like all three of them, though 2 is the weakest of the series. IM3 is by far the best (unless you're a comic book geek)<-- not meant as an insult . I liked 3 better than Avengers, but it's definitely worth seeing and you can enjoy it without having seen 2 as long as you can catch who the Iron Patriot / War Machine is and read up on how he got the suit.

Its an alright film. RDJ does great as Stark, it establishes Iron Man very well and is a good start up film to the series. Jeff Bridges I feel is wasted in this movie. A great actor but a very meh villain. That seems to be the problem with villains in the "Iron Man" series, they have great potential, but tend to be very underwhelming. I like it better than 2 but not as much as I did 3.

On another note, I pretty much marked out (bro) when I noticed Cap's shield in the background during one scene.

Iron Man got more interesting to me once you get the implications of Iron Man 3.
I agree with IM2 being the weak link and that's even with RDJ being the beginning and end to those movies. I thought IM was okay, but I always preferred the Thor movie.

It's really good. I'm like Sting when it comes to movies/TV, so Jeff Bridges' heel turn was a complete shock to me.
Iron Man 2 is really disappointing. It's one of the most phoned in movies I've ever seen. It is completely underwhelming, and could quite easily be cut down into a 30 minute prequel to The Avengers.
