When the Shield first debuted attacking Ryback, the first thing Cole said was that it was three guys from NXT. Fine.
When Summer Rae appeared with Fandango, Cole settled for JBL's nickname of just "Mrs Fandango" until she was actually given a name (by Fandango himself, I think). But Cole had no idea who she was until then.
Now with Bray Wyatt, again Cole is acting like he has no idea who the Family are, and I'm not sure but did they reference Big E was from NXT as well? Is it now operating on a different universe?

I think it depends on an individual basis.
I don't see the need to constantly reference NXT. We all knows its there and we know wrestlers come through it, its not like theres any point constantly referencing it.

Maybe Cole just doesn't watch NXT anymore.

Thats the problem with having it all out there. Some guys need mystery, and some people still change names/gimmicks once they get called up.
