When it comes to lead, Freddie is on top...but nothing compares to when the Beach Boys blended:

LOVE that high note Freddie hits! His and Bowie's voices went so well together. There's a bunch of stuff like this at multitrack masters.
EDIT: Just noticed Taylor's vocals, ashamed I never did before.

EDIT: Just noticed Taylor's vocals, ashamed I never did before. Same here, probably because it was so buried under Bowie, (possibly) Freddie, and the instrumental. Which is funny, because I really loved whenever Roger used to fill in for Bowie during the live performances. Him and Freddie were amazing when they would duet.

Are some of the background singers turned off, or are they counted as part of the music? I could swear this is missing a few voices here and there.

Weird, the radio (WMMR) played this today and I meant to look this version up, so awesome.

Personally I think Freddie was the greatest frontman for a group in music history.

Rather than feel like an empty song, it sounds like a different song all together. The magic of Mercury.

Personally I think Freddie was the greatest frontman for a group in music history. Agreed. I rather recently started getting into Queen, and watching some of their performances, the guy was the total package. Dynamic singer, exceptional stage presence. I hold by my claim that Queen's performance at Live Aid is the greatest live performance I have ever seen.

Just a masterclass in how to work a stage and grab a crowd.
