I really enjoy Ludacris and Mos Def's work, they always impress me.
Ludacris specifically in Crash (I know it isn't the most popular movie around these parts but I really find his acting great considering he had only done 4 other movies before the role and none as serious a movie as crash was. and of course his roles in F&F franchise).
Mos Def was incredible in Dexter and the most interesting character they had for a while during that time, he just took every scene to another level.

Andre 3000 in The Shield was the first thing that came to mind. He was also the only redeeming thing about Revolver.

Method Man was good on The Wire. How can you not love anyone who says this:
"He had this one Ho pullin' guns out her pussy, unc! Shit was unseemly, man."

Mos Def was really good in Brown Sugar and Something the Lord Made. I'm obviously a fan of Ice Cube in the Friday movies as well.

Will Smith, obviously.
Even though he's not really a rapper, I thought P. Diddy was f***ing hilarious in Get Him To the Greek.

Diddy is a terrible rapper, no doubt about that, but you're right, he was freaking hilarious in "Get Him To The Greek." I love the flying head sequence. I was busting up at that. Also, Mark Wahlberg, even though he is totally ashamed of his past.

Tupac was really good in the underrated movie, Gridlock'd. Worth a watch if you can track it down.
And for added incentive, Thandie Newton is a co-star.

Mos Def was really good in Brown Sugar and Something the Lord Made. When you costar in a movie with Alan Rickman where the two of you split approximately 90% of the lines and you STILL look good beside him, then you really are a good actor. He came a long way from playing Ford Prefect, that is for sure.

Ice T, Ice Cube, Will Smith, Mos Def, and Eminem were all pretty good actors from what I've seen of them in movies and TV shows.

Came to say Luda. Wasn't really impressed by Crash (of course, I kinda hated that movie), but he stole the show in his appearances on Law and Order: SVU.
Surprised I'm the first to mention Queen Latifah.

Also, if any of his films had a major issue, Common's never responsible.

Ice cube, Ice T, and Tupac are all pretty good actors. I have to say I enjoyed DMX in that Steven Seagal movie he did and Method Man and Redman were hilarious in How High.
