Never heard of Rancid but... Yeah, no. Replacing Cult of Personality's a terrible idea.

Rancid played for a recent school event here in Boca.
They sounded awful.

For those who want a taster of Rancid:
Seriously, is it going to sound like that?

I, on the other hand, shall wait until I hear the song itself before I judge it. (Mostly because I don't have anything to base a presumption on since I don't recall ever hearing anything by Rancid before)

YES! YES! YES!
I loathe CoP with a passion, both as a song and as an entrance theme. Since Punk is heavily into the punk (duh)/hardcore scene, it is only natural he should have a fitting theme. Rancid are not my favorite band, but this could work.

That's a shame. Cult of Personality too expensive?

CM Punk's return "pop" is probably gone.
People are going to hear that shit, be like "Who the F is this?"
Then Punk comes out. Sort of amazing pop, but nothing memorable.
If Payback wasnt in Chicago, his reaction would probably be lukewarm with a new theme. So thats the only thing keeping the massive ovation.

"This Fire Burns" would suffice. He never should have ditched that theme in the first place.

I don't understand why they'd do this on PPV when no one will know who's coming out.

It was a matter of time.
Nice to see WWE is giving Punk that much freedom. Fans are Pavlovian and will probably freak out.

I don't understand why they'd do this on PPV when no one will know who's coming out. It could still start with the static
