from the very silent crowd during the Punk/Young match to the botchtastic post-match brawl between PTP and Punk/Axel and the AJ-Stylesesque castration of Punk (believing Heyman? really? instead of beating his ass?), this was some of the most awkwardly bad segments I've seen on RAW this year

I thought it was awkwardly good actually. Punk is supposed to be a face but he is kind of acting like a prissy baby. Heyman delivered an awesome promo. Punk has no reason to attack him (yet). A lot of WWE has been predictable lately. This whole thing is not.

I liked the Punk vs. D-Young match for what it was. If the PTPs aren't going to be pushed in the tag division, I think they've have found their niche as the heel JTTS guys.

I dunno, I thought that was a damn fine promo from Heyman, and I liked that Punk listened and believed him instead of giving the usual, "Uh uh! You're a jerk!" face logic. Now, if from now on every time he disagrees with Heyman on what to eat for dinner or who the better MST3K host is and promptly gets F5ed and Punk believes him, then he's an idiot.

Punk strikes me as an Eddie Nelson guy. Also, I really like the entire segment.

I liked it. it's nice that they aren't hot-shotting the obvious. it'll make it mean a hell of a lot more when Heyman actually does turn on Punk.

It struck as something to build heat on an arc, as opposed to anything designed to be blown off straight out of the gate.
P.S. Way, way, way too many commercials on American TV. My honey above, how do you guys cope?

I like it. I like Punk, I like Heyman, I like PTP and I like Curtis Axel. I like all of em as well, but everything went wrong imo "regular" fans dont want this Punk/Heyman bff stuff, they want Punk taking revenge on him and Brock the match was a whole lotta nothing without any heat post-match brawl was atrocious (mostly Titus missing his cuea and botching) Axel with a certified Conway pop ftw

I think they've have found their niche as the heel JTTS guys. Uh...we already have 3MB. No need to f*** over even more guys.

The fact that they kept PTP out of the number one contender's match to waste them one some one-off beatdown, by f***ing McGillicurtis no less, irks my very soul.

Does every heel tag team need to look like a bunch of bitches? No they don't. But at least those heels are made to look better than their face counterparts, who would most likely be sacrificed to the heels to build them up to that point to begin with. Rhodes Scholars are pretty much just two upper midcard singles guys spinning their wheels. It's expected for Rhodes or Sandow to go toe to toe with Sheamus, Orton, or Miz, even in their diminished statuses. Seeing Darren or Titus do the same is a pleasant surprise that I'd like to see more often.

I thought it was so adorable that in order to show that Punk's a babyface again now, they went back to his old well of making fake shoot comments, only he had nothing to shoot about, so he just rambled aimlessly about WWE developmental for way too long in front of a crowd that couldn't give a damn.

I'm not to fond of Axel either, but honestly I think being involved in the Heyman/Punk saga is a step up from jobbing to the Usos just so they can look semi-credible before being steamrolled by the Shield.
