Just have to get this off my chest... This isn't meant to be something negative about Barry. I've been a Lions fan all my life, and I think the world of Barry Sanders. I just don't think its fair to blame the team for all of it when Barry never really delivered in his playoff opportunities. To be fair to Barry if he had a good QB/passing game defenses probably wouldn't have stacked up to stop him, he was all that they had and everyone knew it. Imagine the kind of numbers that Barry would have put up with the Cowboys O-Line of the 90s. Emmitt wasn't even getting hit until he was in the secondary half of the time. Barry would have ran for about 2500 yards a couple of times. Scott Mitchelll had a couple of good seasons, but that was it. They had the best running back in the NFL and one of the best receivers. An opportunistic defense that was I unfortunately too inconsistent.

According to ESPN's John Clayton, the Broncos' "sweetened" contract offer to franchise player Ryan Clady consists of $500,000 more in annual value. It is now an offer of 5 years, $53m.

It was like Christmas morning when the FedEx man arrived today, bringing this package from the NFL Shop. EDIT - And it's just the picture that makes it look colossal. It's an adult large, so knock it off with the fat jokes before they even start! Not trying to be a jerk, but I have an honest question. What's the thought process of spending that much on a jersey for a backup QB that wont play because he's behind Brady, & is thisclose to being out of the league completely? Like I said, no disrespect intended, I just don't get it.

You know what's sad? Jovan Belcher committed murder suicide in December, and instead of federal investigations or news shows dedicated to the shooting ala Benoit, I haven't heard his name since January. How messed up is that?

The Pats would love for Gronk being a party boy to be the worst of their problems right now. Though I thought it was pretty awesome of them to let people exchange their Aaron Hernandez jerseys for people who are not suspected murderers. and then it turned out Tom Brady is in fact the real Green River Killer.

And when asked how he could have started killing when he was about 5, and not in the same state the cops respond "He's very tricky. You underestimate the sneakiness."

To answer all the Tebow questions:
I attended a college (Quinnipiac) that didn't have a football team, so I gravitated toward the school that my sister and her boyfriend attended, which happened to be Florida. I instantly became a Tim Tebow fan, even though he was sitting behind Chris Leak, so I've always been an adamant Tebow supporter. So obviously, when Tebow signs with my favorite pro football team, I'm unquestionably going to buy his jersey.

How messed up is that? Networks are afraid of offending the NFL because that could be the difference between their big money revenue coming to their stations or not. The NFL has the media by the balls and it knows it.

What also hurts it was that he wasn't a big time star plus it's already closed. guy's dead. everyone knows he did it and there's no trial with the attached media circus. I also fully believe there's something in the human mind about seeing a guys face. Benoit's face was all over WWE TV. Every time you saw him work, you'd see his face a hundred times. Hell, you can argue his "marketing" was that toothless grin. Benoit would stand in front of a camera and talk. He bled on camera, he won and lost on camera... his TV life was very "in your face" A football player wears a helmet. You don't see their face that much unless you are dreamy like Brady or a superstud like Peyton and Peterson. Because most football players are mainly seen in full uniforms that obscure their faces... they become faceless. Just another dude in a helmet. he didn't cut promos or give his all with his face plastered all over the TV. He was just another dude in a uniform.
