Anything considered the worst LGN NES game must be horrible. And looking at it, the game looks like you must have gotten ripped off by it.

I remember that the game manual for this was about the size of a phone book.

It's not a terrible game, it's certainly not a lot of fun. You're completely f***ed without the instruction book though.

I remember renting that game as a kid. I don't think I ever got past the first level...

Also another bullshit thing I remember about this game, each level you play as either Bill or Ted...however since they're separate characters, they have separate inventories...which was even more bullshit.
Just watched the review and he didn't even scrape on 1/10th of the stuff that f***ed you over in this game.

I bought this and Back to the Future II & III on the same day.
I was such a stupid kid.

Um James, a Wyld Stallyns concert is pretty damn important. Their music is the foundation for a utopian future. Station!

Wrestlemania is the worst LJN game I've actually played. I'll defend Roger Rabbit to the death however haha.

Kind of surprised he didn't take a quick look at the other Bill & Ted games, yes they made more then one.
There was one of the Game Boy which was a puzzle/platformer (Which I'm pretty sure Acclaim reskinned as a Mary Kate & Ashley Olson game years later.) And one for the Atari Lynx which was a straight up adventure game based off of the animated series.
I guess those games were hard to come by if they weren't in the review.

So when is this damn movie of his supposed to come out?
My God this game is literally damn near impossible. I had an FAQ, a full moves list, full info, spoilers, and I STILL could not get past the first stage. This game is horrible, it's horribly tough, and it's a piece of crap.
And having never gotten past the first stage, seeing how much worse it gets... wow. Although Rembrandt is NOT always the first guy you have to meet (you always do start off in the medieval era, though). Nerd does, occasionally, show that he doesn't play the games nearly as much as people think. He does forget real important stuff.
That Nintoaster is pimpin', though.

My favorite NES game ever. And no, I'm not joking.
I love history so maybe that's why, but I spent hours upon hours walking around the various locations looking in the bushes for pudding, money and anything else I could find. Oh, and of course the important historical artifacts.
I also loved whenever you would confront an angry villager and they would chase you around like Frankenstein.
Such a great game...so many awesome memories.

I'll never understand why you play Bill & Ted separately, instead of either together with a switching mechanic or with two players playing each.

The things AVGN nitpicks the game on are minor IMO and he comes across as bitter because there was actually a game he wasn't able to beat.

I also loved whenever you would confront an angry villager and they would chase you around like Frankenstein. And you got rid of them by throwing pudding bowls to them, which they would eat and leave you alone. It's hilariously strange. I think the only thing that saved this game for me, was the humor. A lot of the scenes where you talk to people was pretty funny. Some guy wants to trade some burros for your shirt, and Bill is like "Excellent! I love burritos!".

Yea, and there was a scene where one of them is talking to someone in a building, and they mention 'Smoke on the Water'. The villager gets freaked out and thinks that they are some kind of doomsday witch or something.
