Much better than the lesson of the other major diva segment: Acting lessons aren't important.

To be the best, you have to call the best fat!

I think AJ's comeuppance isn't too far away. That seems to be what they're playing for.

I do think it's worth noting that WWE tends to have diva storylines with teasing about looks and weight quite a lot. I think tonight the Bellas made a fat joke about Natalya. AJ made a fat joke about Kaitlyn. Jerry Lawler in the past has made fat jokes and ugly-jokes at Vickie. Laycool made fun of Mickie James's weight. The Bellas made fun of Kharma. Going back further, Molly Holly was mocked for having a big butt. I think it's becoming a crutch for WWE to have the Divas bullying each other about their appearances. I think it's fair to point this out considering how often they've done this.

That's the best you could come up with?", shrug, and ideally laugh at AJ for thinking something so idiotic would get even remotely under her skin. But since this is WWE it's a good thing no one gave Kaitlyn a microphone or else she'd let loose a stream of unfathomable rage so bad that Zandig would tell her to calm down.

She kinda laughed it off though, so I think thats what they're going for. Its not as effective as it was.

I think AJ's comeuppance isn't too far away. That seems to be what they're playing for. I mean, Kaitlyn has started retaliating in the same manner (and I'm sure she'll have a good retort on SmackDown), so it's not like AJ is straight up bullying her and getting away with it like a few weeks ago. Honestly, the way it's playing out thus far makes me think this is going to continue for a few weeks until Stephanie steps in. Right - any sane person in Kaitlyn's spot would see that picture and be like "Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?", shrug, and ideally laugh at AJ for thinking something so idiotic would get even remotely under her skin. But since this is WWE it's a good thing no one gave Kaitlyn a microphone or else she'd let loose a stream of unfathomable rage that Zandig would tell her to calm down. That's exactly how she reacted though, by her expression and the mics audibly picking up her saying "Are you serious? What are you, 12?"

Kaitlyn said she went to AJ's level last week and she's done doing that, and that whatever AJ had planned would be funny.

I think AJ's comeuppance isn't too far away. That seems to be what they're playing for. Except both her and Kaitlyn have been exchanging pot shots towards each other the past few weeks. AJ calls Kaitlyn mannish; Kaitlyn calls AJ a slut. AJ calls Kaitlyn fat; on Smackdown, Kaitlyn will retaliate with a shot of her own, etc. It's hardly one-sided and being built to a comeuppance type of deal.

I still think AJ is winning at MITB. The face can't come out on top at the end of every feud.

It almost seemed like they didn't have anything planned for the AJ vs. Kaitlyn segment this week, so they drew suggestions out of a box and the paper read "Photoshopped fat pictures."
I still appreciate "Katie Kaboom" though.

I feel as though that speaks more to how poorly acted this segment was, however. Was how she reacted really the intended reaction? If so, then...what's the point? "Before I was deliriously angry with you but now I'm more...slightly annoyed by your general presence. I think I want to beat you up less now." Seems like just an all around bad night for all parties involved because this certainly didn't make me want to see the rematch. I feel like they were either going for the usual WWE reaction of calling someone fat/ugly/smelly being the worst insult in the world thus inciting pure rage (and therefore Kaitlyn did a crap job selling that, dumb as it may have been), or what they got across tonight was accurate to their intention, to which I say is also a bad avenue to go down since the point of these segments is to firmly establish that these two want to straight up murder each other in the ring at the paper view.

When AJ mocks Kaitlyn for her body, I think I would have Kaitlyn ignoring her by flexing her biceps and looking proud of her muscular development. She then gets on the mic and says that she works harder than any of the Divas saying that she's proud of her body. 'There's nothing you can say that's going to change how I feel about myself. I'm proud of my body and I'm going to take pride in shutting you up at Money in the Bank and taking back the Divas Championship.'
What they SHOULD NOT do is have the babyface Kaitlyn answering back at AJ by mocking her for being too skinny, not having breats, etc. That would send a terrible message that you fight bullying with more bullying.
