Long story short, after helping my sister move I'm realizing I have way too much stuff at home and intend on getting rid of a good amount of it, for money preferably. I have been told that using Craigslist is much easier than using eBay. For those of you that have used it, how did you go about exchanging the goods for the money? Just picked like a coffee shop or something to do it or just did it outside of your house? That's the only part I'm hmm-ing about at this point, but I guess if I was going to newspaper-classify it it would be the same dilemma. Would you say it's worth the effort?

I have sold a few things on craigslist. It's good if you have something that people actually want to buy. I've received a lot of emails and texts that went nowhere though. People would text me, and then nothing. So it can kind of be frustrating at times. I have met people at my house, but most of the time I tend to meet them at a public location.

Here's a few things I usually stick to when using Craigslist.
Always use pictures of what you're selling.
Never negotiate via text or email. All serious business should be handled via telephone.
Try to meet at a public location for both your safety and the trust of person you're selling to. If I'm carrying a lot of cash with me I'd rather meet in public just as a saftey precaution.
Look for similar listings and undercut their price slightly. You want to get rid of the shit anyways so price things to sell.
