I just found out that next Friday at the Auckland leg of the New Zealand international film festival that there will a be special screening of Dario Argento's Suspiria where the band Goblin (who did the score for it) will be playing the score live. Tickets are $45 bucks worth it?

For me yes, IMO Susperia is all kinds of awesome and to top it off Goblin is there *Insert Fry Vid*
But if you've never seen it before then $45 is a bit risky as Dario Argento is n aquired taste.

$45 bucks seems a bit steep to see a movie (if you haven't see it yet I DO recommend watching it because it's probably his best work and one of the best italian horror films of the 70s). that said, yeah, if Goblin is there playing the soundtrack live, it's worth it (film has without a question one of the best scores in the history of film).

$45 is pricey. I love it, so I would really try to do it. But someone just said Dario Argento is an acquired taste so it's certainly something I would NOT recommend for a casual passer-by. I would be surrounded by all the nostalgia and history and impact of the film while there. Meta-viewing, that is.

I'd rent the DVD first. $45 is a lot of cash to spend on something you might not like.

I have seen it but I thought Deep Red and Tenebrae were better. But a mate of mine who owes me a favor and is getting me a ticket so I don't have worry now.
