The only thing that came off as less than genuine was Heyman working his ass off trying to sell the idea that Punk cares about or needs the fans (or as he called them, "THEM!") now. I know, it struck me too, but I would've been more irked had it not been prefaced with the 'CM Punk went home to find himself' crack. Gives ample room for a CM Punk ephiphany, I figure.

I was worried about this feud because I thought they'd both been way below par on the mic in recent months (by their high standards), they've both had way too many long and rambling promos that could have easily been condensed into two minutes.
However this week they made up for all that with such an awesome segment, hopefully they can keep to that standard.

Segments like this are why I've been a fan 20 years. These types of promos just grab your attention and you just want everyone else to be as into it as you are right there and then. Paul Heyman is such a snake but his ability have get our attention and to make CM Punk seem so vulnerable in this story just makes me appreciate this man. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Punks response and hoping it would be just as emotional as Heymans and that he'd sound as eloquent as him and it was amazing he really delivered.

It was so good. Punk as a never say die crowd favourite is going to be great That's why I can never hate on his initial face run with the company from his ECW debut to his turn on Hardy on SD (not including the week with new breed). I know some people didn't like it, each to their own, but to me his first run as a face truly showed how much of a fighting competitor he is, with a great move set to exaggerate that kind of thing. He is the ultimate cool hip die hard badass kickass won't back down face. I enjoyed his face run as WWE Champion as well (I don't think I have ever not enjoyed Punk actually , but the segment on Monday is a welcome return for him in a face role like that for me and seems to be a combination of the face runs I have mentioned above.

If he does, all hell would break loose. Punk did cast a pretty wide net on who he wants to beat the shit out of who is any relation to Heyman from the past and present. There is definitely a connection and I don't think the buck/rivalry stops at Lesnar, I think and hope the Lesnar feud is just the beginning. There's precedent in the storyline for this to happen, even. Didn't Stone Cold take his orders from Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon during the InVasion era when his "What?" chants first got over with crowds? Paul should call in an old favor and get him to sic punk for one more 'Mania match!

That being said, I don't think he should be involved in this angle at all.
