Wow. I got chills. Paul and Punk are just untouchable when it comes to promos and perfectly set up the match then the brawl with Lesnar was executed flawlessly. Segment of the year by far.

I was worried that Punks face turn would look really unnatural but somehow it's been handled flawlessly. The guy that mocked a mans heart attack and another mans death not long ago has been made to look sympathetic. That's talent.

Everyone involved is so f***ing good at what they do that when Punk finally does beat Lesnar it isn't going to piss anyone with an open mind off.

Brock is like a supervillain wrecking machine with Paul's brain controlling him, it's great.

Heyman's been knocking it out of the park anytime he talks for more than 30 seconds.
When you're carrying CM Punk in promo segments, you're something special.

The crowning achievement of a truly stellar Raw. That was flawless in my book. Two masters of the mic going at it, Lesnar doing what he does best, and Punk fighting the good fight when everyone knows he isn't going to win. That segment alone would've sold me on SummerSlam, but we're getting Cena/Bryan, too. Nights like tonight are why I watch and why I'll continue to watch.

I didn't expect anything to top Mark's fake retirement this year, but I was proven wrong. That actually got me excited to see a wrestling match, and that doesn't happen too often anymore.

Epic. This was a great episode of RAW full of great segments but this segment legitimately had me shivering with excitement. From the Paul/Punk promo to the Brock/Punk brawl everything was pure intensity, so excited for this feud. Punk/Lesnar and Bryan/Cena main eventing Summerslam? This could be the best one since the brilliant 2000/01/02 run of Summerslam's ended.

I'm getting a Austin/McMahon vibe.
Random thought: what if Austin comes in as a Paul Heyman guy for one match with Punk at WM 30?

Loved it. Punk was solid as usual, but this is easily some of the best promo work Heyman's ever done, and I remember watching his Dangerously stuff as a kid. The man just oozes sleaze and his delivery is always on point- condescending and used car salesman-esque, with a hint of Joe Pesci like anger when needed.

Yep everything said above. Just a brilliantly built story, I felt so sorry for Punk you could feel the emotion radiating off all three of them. It was poetic, all the characters came off perfectly. Brock is Frankenstein monster to Pauls Frankenstein. Punk looked like a badass antihero underdog who wouldn't back down, exactly what he should be as a face. I don't want to come off as a up my own arse but I love when you can see how beautifully a story can be built up in wrestling, like Shakespearean tragic elements and fallen heroes and knights mixed with Colosseum and gladiator type spectacle, battles and wars....and this feud looks like it has that in the truck loads. I was jumping around the lounge when Lesnars music hits, and thats the emotion that keeps me going in this brilliant world of wrestling. Promo/Segment of the year, and it will take a lot to top it. Oh and no Axel to be found tonight

Punk did cast a pretty wide net on who he wants to beat the shit out of who is any relation to Heyman from the past and present. There is definitely a connection and I don't think the buck/rivalry stops at Lesnar, I think and hope the Lesnar feud is just the beginning.

I would love to see RVD vs Punk, as RVD is a former Heyman guy again with having a huge past with him.

Axel isn't a terrible worker, and he's good enough to get in the ring with a guy like Punk and come out looking like a stud. Think Bret and Austin. Bret was a better technical wrestler than the brawler Austin, but Bret worked great and Austin was awesome enough to come out looking even better.

He was always far more beloved than the Rock. It would be a mistake and a waste of money to bring him in as a heel.

It was so good. Punk as a never say die crowd favourite is going to be great, and Heyman's promo was typically excellent.

Paul and Punk are just untouchable when it comes to promos Quoted because it's true. I'll be sad when both of these guys retire from the business for good, though they'll have earned it a thousand times over.

The only thing that came off as less than genuine was Heyman working his ass off trying to sell the idea that Punk cares about or needs the fans (or as he called them, "THEM!") now.
