When I was like 9 or 10, I went to an MCW show in Northeast Arkansas that had 2 Cold Scorpio, the Anvil, the Blue Meanie, William Regal, and Curtis Hughes on it as far as "names" go (they were people I had seen on my TV, they count) that was headlined by a guy my mom went to high school with. Since I went with my mom's friends, before the show I got to meet said guy and years later I found out he told the other workers to "show me a good time" since it was my first wrestling show. Scorpio had the first match of the night and when the heel cheated to win a young Hawk Jefferson got to go into the ring and explain to the ref what happened. Later in the night, the Anvil and the Meanie came out for their match (they were doing an odd couple tag team gimmick) and I did the Meanie dance with Da Blue Guy while the Anvil looked on in disgust. Regal and Hughes both heeled on me which was fun for me since I was already a Regal fan and I hated Hughes but after the show I got invited backstage to meet some of the guys and get autographs. Scorpio, Anvil, Meanie, Regal, even guys like Reckless Youth were really cool about talking to me and signing my program but then I got to Mr. Hughes who told me "I'm not signing anything." cut to William Regal telling him "Ah c'mon Curtis, he's a child, now sign his program and pretend you're happy to do it." Hughes signed my program with no issues after that. William Regal is awesome.
Edit: I forgot the most awesome part! This is why you don't post first thing out of bed. Anyway, Regal, Reckless Youth, Meanie, and Anvil were all really cool about talking to me about wrestling while I was back there but the highlight of the evening was Regal high-fiving me for expressing how I wished he would've beaten Goldberg.

Why did you walk away from me Jerry Lawler?
Why did you do that?

Why did you walk away from me Jerry Lawler? Why did you do that? That's somewhat upsetting to me since I grew up watching Lawler on Memphis wrestling and when I got the chance to meet him just randomly in the Market in Seattle he was very nice. Didn't want to talk much about his career back in the 70s and 80s but other than that, he was a very nice man.

I've only met two wrestlers in my life. Brutus Beefcake charged me 20 bucks for an autograph when they were advertising $10 for it. Didn't even try to personalize it either. Rhino complimented my mustache and asked me what I majored in college.

Eddie Kingston once bummed a cigarette off me after a wrestling show. That's probably my best experience.

Over the past 7 days, my son and I have met Kevin Steen, Colt Cabana, Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe, Alex Koslov, Rocky Romero, Karl Anderson, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis. Everybody was very cool and friendly. Lethal and Steen are my son's favorites, so them being so easy to talk to and friendly really made an impression on him. This has been one hell of a week in wrestling for the both of us.

My few experiences have been really cool thankfully.
I've mentioned before that Roddy Piper & Hillbilly Jim are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Very cordial and Roddy treated me like a long lost brother.
Foley seemed to be in a rush when I met him. It was late and I don't think he anticipated the line of people that would be there. I think he had 3 books out at the time and the spoken word thing was still kind of new.
Met Jim Cornette just yesterday in Louisville and he was super cool and really friendly and didn't ask a sky high price for his merchandise.

I've never really had what I would call a bad experience. I've met guys who didn't want to talk because they were tired or upset or both, and that's fine.
Probably my favorite experience was this:
I was in the Dallas airport in 2004 or so, waiting for a flight to my home at the time in Amarillo, when up walks Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Randy Orton. The WWE was doing a show in Amarillo that night. I had to pass by Triple H and Steph (who were a couple at the time) and said hello and welcome to Amarillo. They were both very pleasant. Triple H seemed very tired, but still polite. I mentioned that my dad had been a wrestler in the old Memphis territory, and Stephanie was very interested. We talked for 30 minutes or so while waiting to board about people in the business we knew in common. She commented that it was always nice to meet someone else whose dad was in the business. Steph introduced Randy, who was quiet, but also polite.
After we landed in Amarillo, Steph stopped me as we unloaded and got my name and phone number to leave backstage passes for my then 10-year old son and I for that night's show at will call. We said goodbye and she told me to call next time the WWE came to town, and she'd get us passes. We went to the show that night and briefly went backstage. She was VERY busy and waved, but didn't have time to talk(seems a couple of the guys' flights were late, and they were rearranging matches. Terry Funk, who was there but hadn't planned to wrestle, even got in the ring for a brief match)
Very nice overall. I don't have anything bad to say about Stephanie McMahon.

My worst was Bam Bam Bigelow. I'm a huge Bam Bam fan and saw him wrestle on an indie show a few years back. As I was leaving, I saw Bam Bam walking through the venue in his street clothes with his duffel bag packed up. I went over to introduce myself and ask for an autograph and right away it was obvious that he was extremely effed up on something.
He bent down to dig through his bag for the photos and tipped over, didn't know how much to charge me, and grabbed a handful of money to give me change which ended up scattered on the floor all around him. It was very sad and a really depressing image I have of one of my all-time favorites.
As a side note, this was the same show of the "Sunny incident" I've spoken of on these forums before, where she angrily pushed me out of the way on the concession stand line because she didn't get any sauerkraut for her hot dogs.
I also went to a great autograph signing in NYC that had Kevin Nash, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Triple H, and Ric Flair. The first five were all sitting at a table together and were SUPER nice. Austin asked what my straightedge shirt meant and I told him it means I don't drink beer. He was having a field day with that until Shawn Michaels jumped in and stood up for me. They were all great until we got to Triple H and Ric Flair, who were seated at a table by themselves. Hunter was pretty much all business, but Flair was flat out rude. He was talking to Hunter who would slide the poster down to him, Flair would sign and then slide it over to the customer, without ever even looking at him or her. Really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Another signing I went to was Chris Jericho, Lilian Garcia and Steve Austin and Trish Stratus again. I was literally the last person on line and Jericho was in definite good spirits. Super nice guy and definitely seemed to have Lilian eating out of the palm of his hand.
Went to a Brock signing where he didn't say a single word to me. Head nod to say hello, autograph, head nod to say goodbye. I walked out of that one feeling pretty unsatisfied and like I had just wasted my entire afternoon for no reason.
Cary Silkin was one of the nicest guys ever and truly appreciate of all the ROH fans.
Also bumped into Zack Ryder with his girlfriend in the mall out on Long Island. My girlfriend swore it was him when we saw them in the food court, but I wasn't sure. So I faced the other way and screamed "Zack" and told my gf to see if he looked. Sure enough he did. I didn't want him to know it was me screaming his name like a moron, so we waited until they went into Hot Topic, followed them in, and introduced ourselves. He was alright, but seemed like he was just trying to enjoy some time with his girl, which I totally understood.
Probably my favorite story is after WMXX when I somehow came across the spot where all the wrestlers were leaving MSG and getting onto their big bus. There was a glass wall separating us, so I started banging on the glass to get the wrestlers attention and then flip them off or act like a total ass to get a reaction from them. This was probably the highlight of WMXX for me. Batista laughed, pointed at me and gave me the universal hand signal for "you have a small penis". Lita looked surprised and flipped me off back. Mick Foley looked legitimately insulted and hurt. I know this sounds incredibly immature and stupid, but it was a truly hilarious experience.

I've met quite a lot of wrestlers and can't say I've had a bad experience with any of them. A lot of good experiences though. Jimmy Jacobs seemed humbled that I was such a big fan of his, Sara del Rey was really sweet to me, and even after showing up late to a signing at a store and found him actually doing some shopping there, Edge was happy to pose for photos and chat for a few minutes. My favourite experiences though were with Colt Cabana and Doug Williams. Cabana was hilarious and just a really cool guy the first time I met him, then a year later when I met him again he remembered me and some of the jokes we'd been cracking the year before. Williams I've met a few times, he's always appreciative of his fans and takes the time to chat and joke with you, he even bought me a pint once after I saved him from an obnoxious dick of a "fan"!

Nice: John Cena in 2005 and 2006: First time I met him, he came out 2 hours earlier than scheduled, and from what I heard, stayed well past the time he was supposed to be done signing. I asked him for a hug, which he seemed happy to do lol. Second time I met him, he came out an hour earlier than scheduled, and stayed later. He told my best friend he liked her shirt, and when I told him it was my second time meeting him, he said he appreciated that I wanted to mwwt him again. Matt and Jeff Hardy: Met them the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2006. The signing was at 9 in the morning, they seemed exhausted but also appreciative of those people that waited to meet them. Ashley Massaro: Met her twice, (she was at the 2006 John Cena appearance, and a 2005 Big Dave appearance. Extremely nice to me both times, and just seemed like she was having the time of her life. John Cena's dad: I met him before Raw in Bridgeport the day after the show where Cena got thrown into the spotlight. He was very nice, and talked to me for a few minutes. I told him how my dad and I have sort of a bond through Cena. (We laugh at the Marine whenever it's on tv)He took a picture with me, that ended up being my twitter profile pic. Sin Cara: Met him at Axxess this year. Quiet, but nice Dolph Ziggler: Met him last September 17th before Raw in Bridgeport. He was signing autographs in the merchandise truck, and took a picture with my brother, my best friend and I. Edge and Randy Orton: I wanted to meet Edge in 2002 when they were doing the last show at the New Haven Coliseum, and the line was already so long. I met Rated RKO in 2007 (?) and told him how I had wanted to meet him. He seemed legitimately happy that after those years I still wanted to meet him. Randy was very nice to me. I was nervous to meet him after hearing he could be difficult to be around. Bad: . Batista: I don't even care that he was rude to me, but he was rude to handicapped children that were saying they were so excited to meet him and he just blew them off. The photoshop threads/Dave jokes around here have sort of warmed me up to him.

Met Jeff Hardy once in a Cracker Barrel(where else?) talked to him for a few minutes before he ordered and he was cool as anything, he left before I did and on his way out he came over and shook my hand and said 'take it easy'. Very cool guy. Jeff seems like a cool guy with fans, for all his faults. Part of why I will never outright hate him.

Mick Foley looked legitimately insulted and hurt. you are a brutal man. anyway, I can't remember having too many bad experiences with a wrestler. the closest things to negative is a funny one when I went to my only ROH show sept 06 when I was 13, I asked chris hero for an autograph. he said no after I ate a piece of pizza at the table next to this and I told him I'd go get eddie kingston to sign it and got the hero stare. also at that ROH show I met davey richards, KENTA/marufuji right before they went out for their match which was AWESOME, I got to talk to nigel/daniels before their match since there was only one bathroom in the place and seeing chris daniels in his old TNA entrance gear in a bathroom could've been a bad influence but thankfully it wasn't. I asked him for an autograph and he told me later, I understood. the briscoes, davey, samoa joe (was pumped as hell to meet him), roddy and everyone were great, I had the unique chance of being in the aisleway to go to the locker room so I caught them all right after their match, it was awesome. there's always been a sports store in my area that does signings, so I've gotten to meet a lot of awesome people met bret and bundy when I was 3-4 Cena, Batista, Angle, a lot of good names. Bret's my all time favorite and I've met him twice so thats been great both times, met Rock in 98 after his ladder match, I was 5 so I dont remember much but him ignoring kids asking about said ladder match. I got to meet masked Kane in 98, THAT was awesome I was scared to death, I got up to him and just stared for like 10 seconds until he stuck his hand out. it was the shit, at that same signing Jim Cornette smiled at me for being the only person to acknowledge him. that or he wanted to kidnap me either way it was fun. I've met some people after shows too, once saw booker t at the bar at mohegan sun and he looked like he was feeling a spinarooni, no really I saw him kill at least like 3 shots right off the bat like it was his new gimmick. anyway its been good, I'm privelaged I got to meet a lot of my favorites.

The closest I've had with a bad experience with a wrestler was Scott Hall, and only because 13 years later, he still owes me a beer. However, I'm not exactly expecting him to make that up to me. The closest to that was a failed trip to a karaoke bar with the SHIMMER roster, due to a management error where we were told only the talent were allowed to sing... and then finding out later they allowed other fans up. Wasn't the worst in the world, though, as I got to drink with some of the talent who refused to sing, in particular Nicole Matthews and Madison Eagles. Both great women.
Everything else has been fun experiences, in particular the Dragon Gate roster. Had some fun times with them when they arrived for a show in Broxbourne, seeing them dick about with each other, so funny.

One I forgot all about....my friend and I were driving back to NYC from a WWE show in Jersey and I pulled over on the Jersey Turnpike to get some McDonalds. We walked in and who do I see in line ahead of us? Viscera and Maria! Definitely would have never guessed they traveled together. They ordered....you should have seen Viscera's tray, and people were treating them like zoo animals. Maria walked from the counter to a table and had a sea of cell phones in her face. I felt really bad for them and thought it best to leave them alone since so many people were acting foolish. To their credit though, Maria and Viscera were both nothing but polite to everyone.
