Harold is backstage, getting ready for the biggest match of his career.
Tonight, win or lose, I will have proven to me and the rest of the TNA locker room that I am a changed man. I came into this company with little talent and focus on getting better because of my anger problems. Now, I'm in a TNA World Championship match and I've defeated the best of what this company has to offer. I've earned the respect of my peers, of my therapist and of the fans, but, with my new desire for competition, I can't stay happy with just a change in attitude.
I conquered a lot of my objectives since I've renewed my desire to change and to compete, but there's still one thing that bugs me to this day: my only loss in the BFG Series, my loss to Sting. And I'm annoyed by it not because of who I lost to, he's one of the greatest of all time, but because of what he's doing to his legacy. His Psycho Circus is a black mark on the greatness that is TNA and he needs to realise that being negative will only take you so far. He needs to know that the secret to a happy life is by being positive and using negative energy to create a positive change in your life.
So, Sting, I know that I'm the ultimate underdog in this fight and that I will probably not be leaving Impact with the World Title, but I will make sure that you understand that your ways will not give you the title by preventing you from winning this match.
Harold gets ready to leave, but he turns to the camera.
I'm doing this because I'm paying it forward and helping someone the same way I was helped.
Harold leaves.
We head backstage to Sting with a dagger in his hand.
Tonight, supposedly, I get a TNA World Title shot with just Harold and Joey standing in the way of me and the gold. But honestly, I'm an experienced vet and after being screwed over so many times, I can pretty much see it coming.
This is the BFG series, not the random impact series, so you can bet that Harold and I don't have a chance in the world. That ref, the commentators, even Joey Ryan, they're all in on the fix. It's all just one big screwjob and that disgusts me.
Well, screwjob or not, I'm going to do whatever it takes to possibly walk out with the gold tonight. Joey Ryan is holding Psycho Circus property and whether I take it back tonight or at Bound For Glory, the gold will be returning back to us soon enough.
Joey Ryan is backstage, rubbing baby oil over his chest.
The night has arrived. For the first time in who-can-remember, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is on the line right here on Impact.
Sting, Harold, welcome to the big time. Sting, I heard you’ve been in a main event or two during your career, so I’ll start with Harold. Welcome to the main event, kid!
Now, let me preface this by saying you’ve been damn impressive throughout the Bound For Glory Series. Considering you’re challenging me tonight, that should go without saying.
Now, as impressed as I’ve been and as much respect as I have for you, it’s my duty to inform you that you will not be walking out of here tonight with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Don’t get me wrong, maybe…
No, definitely some day. But not today.
Don’t let that news discourage you though. Because I’ll alleviate your fears right now and tell you that Sting will not be leaving with the title either.
Stinger, tonight won’t be our first rodeo, brother. No sireebob. We had a barn burner of a match not too long ago, didn’t we? And in the end, who got his hand raised?
Oh, that’s right.
Me.
Sting, you’re a hell of competitor, hell, you’re a legend in this business. But all those years of getting hit in the head and stabbed in the back have warped your mind, man. The Sting I beat at Sacrifice and the Sting I’m facing tonight are not the Sting I admired and looked up to as a youngin’.
I was one of screaming Little Stingers, decked out in face paint to watch you take on Ric Flair, Lex Luger, and Big Vader.
When an entire company turned it’s back on you, I still believed that you would save us from the reign of Hulk Hogan.
And when you joined TNA, I watched you vanquish Jeff Jarrett for the better part of six months. I watched you, Christian Cage, and Kurt Angle tear down the house. And I loved every second of it!
But then…
First it was the Main Event Mafia. Then The Greater Good. Then The Revelation. And now the Psycho Circus. You went from trying to preserve your spot, to trying to control this company based on your beliefs, to following the lead of a proven sociopath, all in the name of what? Not honor, no way. Glory? Maybe. Chaos?
Ding ding ding, we’ve got a winner!
Sting, you and EY, you’ve declared war on TNA? Well, as TNA World Heavyweight Champion, you’ve declared war on me! And both of you should know damn well, Joey Ryan goes to war to win!
Harold, don’t take tonight personally, but you will unfortunately will likely be a casualty of battle tonight.
And once more, when the smoke is cleared, one man will stand tall, the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. And that man is…
The Sultan of Sleaze.
The Prince of Perversion.
The Erotic Enigma.
The Master of the Mustache Ride.
The hot fudge Sunday with extra nuts…
Well, some might say Sting and EY are the nuts these days, but that just spoils a perfectly good desert…
Joey…
MAGNUM!
Ryan.
Now…
WHO WANTS A MUSTACHE RIDE?!
Ryan walks off.
