Surprised not much more has been made about this, but the Carmouche/Andrade fight is the first in UFC history (don't know about MMA history) between two openly homosexual fighters. Not that it really matters all that much in the long run, as most are rightly treating it as simply a fight.

Didn't know that Andrade was also a lesbian but It will be interesting to see if both Rogan and Goldie bring it up during the fight.

Stoked to see three of the four matches tonight (Caramouche vs. Andrade, Ellenberger vs. MacDonald, and the title match).

I don't know if they want to inform the FOX audience that the two female fighters are lesbians. It would probably give some idiots false hope that something goes down midway through the fight. I'm personally stoked that there's gonna be six cards between tonight and September 4th. Basically a show every week. And the Fox Sports 1 cards look quite promising top to bottom compared to the usual free tv cards.

Out of 5 prelim fights so far 4 of them have been split decisions.
Up next Melvin Guillard and Mac Danzig fight each other for their jobs.

That should save Guillard from being cut.

Nice win for Carmouche. She looked really good in the second round. Impressive takedown. It looked like she lost Round 1 to me.

Steve Mazzagatti thought that the beating Carmouche was giving out was allowed to go on waaaaaaay too long

Steve Mazzagatti thought that the beating Carmouche was giving out was allowed to go on waaaaaaay too long I thought the initial burst and pounding should have been stopped, but when Andrade moved to her back it looked liked she was defending herself just enough to keep letting the fight go. I think Herb Dean has a better track record than Mazzagatti anyway.

Sweet head kick knockout by Robbie Lawler.
He made that fight look like a total mismatch.

Awesome stuff from Lawler. Not sure if he's the big contender Rogan and Goldberg were talking about, but always fun to watch.

Oh come Dana admit that the real reason why they are having both male and female fighters in the TUF this is because the producers wanted to see who be the first two fighters get it on... in the sack that is.
