People can be really stupid about these things. They expect people, especially younger celebrities, to always be the same age, and look the same. It's why typecasting is such a trap to fall into.

I don't really see many people acting like she's still a kid.
Most I know either think "she's hot" or "she's a trashy ho".

It's because a lot of her work is aimed towards children or teenagers and it still airs for children/teenagers. Obviously little kids want to be Hannah Montana and therefore look up to and become fans of Miley herself.
So if Miley does something wrong, parents are going to lash out because that's their kids role model and the media are going to lash out because they have empathy for the parents and it becomes a shit storm.
She's trying to shred the kid friendly image but it's tough to get rid of. I love her though I think she's hot.

I just wonder why she gets a free pass? It's obvious that she likes using drugs, yet she never gets slammed by the media. I can only guess she is a responsible drug user and doesn't let her habits get out of control.

That Twerk Struggle is real y'all and I, for one, hope that Miley never stops being that person. Only in America can Miley Cyrus be a TREASURE just being Miley. The only thing that'd make Miley a better laughingstock for me is if she just threw caution to the wind and put cornrows in her hair...the only way that could be topped is if she just goes all in and decides to don the "Struggle Braids" in an attempt to fit in with her Black friends the people who want to make money off and continue to laugh at Miley the Dancing Monkey. |
