So the show just finished it's 2 debut episodes here in the States. Anyone else see it? And what are your thoughts on the show overall? Recap of the first 2 shows: {Spoiler}Spoiler Episode 1 had 2 contestants make the final chase with $55k, but lost when The Beast made the 13 steps. Episode 2 had all 3 contestants, which included Pacdude of Pacdudegames.com make the final chase with $180k, and won after The Beast only made it to step 16 of 18.

I like the British version as it's a pretty basic idea for a game show and it's all the better for it. Is "The Beast" Mark Labbett there or is it someone else? Here we have four chasers. My favourite is Paul Sinha as I've seen his stand-up and he is really funny, although the best is probably Anne.

Mark Labbett is indeed the chaser here. I think they're only gonna use him for this season and add more next season. If the original test games years ago were any indication, we may see Jeopardy champ Brad Rutter as a future chaser.

The Chase's finest hour (remember that "fanny" over here means a ladies "front bottom")
I love that they keep bits like this in the show which would probably get cut out as bloopers.

They have the same comedy over here as the brits do. It's a faithful revival in all aspects, just americanized and minus a good host. I hope it gets to Season 3, as they have already got it booked for a Season 2 which tapes this weekend. If season 3 happens, I assume more chasers will be added. I just don't know who they would get. Either they will import Anne Hegerty or bring in an American chaser, probably a Ken Jennings or John Carpenter from Millionaire.

My GF and I were wondering why it had disappeared off TV. I take it they were taking it to the US. I'm not really a game show person but The Chase can be quite tense at times.

At the moment ITV seem to have their own internal game show where they compete to make the worst quiz/game show possible, Tipping Point was winning but Take On The Twisters has taken the crown.
It makes me miss The Chase (and Pointless) even more.

The Chase is the best quiz show I've seen in years. Hopefully it catches on over there in the US.

The Chase is great over here. They're filming new episodes next month according to Paul Sinha.
