I've got 20 days of vacation time I can use at any time, and my goal is to hit up 9 states all west of me during that period. If I do that, all I'll have left is the southeast (*shutter*), the Northeast of only Maine, Vermont, New Jersey, and New Hampshire. And then throw Hawaii and Alaska on there.
Of course, since I'm a total idiot at geography and didn't look at a map first (since Alaska is always shown separately), I just expected Juneau to be roughly 6 to 8 hours away from Seattle. Nope!!! 40 f***ing hours of driving!!!

I have lived in Florida and North Dakota.
I have stayed at least one night in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, California, New Jersey, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota.
I have at least driven through Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. I've visited New York (when I stayed in New Jersey). I've only been to Texas in the Dallas and Houston airports. And I've been through North and South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania on a train.
That makes a total of 21 states and the District of Columbia. I didn't know it was that many. Although, my feet have only hit the ground in 15 of them.

only states that I really spent time in have been New York, Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Have driven through everything on the east coast and a bunch of northern states on my way to Washington. I was only 3 for that trip to Washington though and remember none of it.

I want to visit all 50, and I mean really 'visit', not just drive through or see the biggest city.
