Something I find odd about Scots is that despite Scotland being small and beautiful, very few of them have actually seen most of it. I travel about Scotland in my motorbike and often, folk haven't even heard of the places I go. One of the reasons for this, I guess, is that it's relatively cheap and easy to get on a plane and get to Europe for holidays where the weather is much more pleasant.
So I got thinking about people who live in the USA. They have a huge country that is geographically diverse (is that even a term?) and are far enough away from Europe that going there doesn't share the same convenience that it does for Scots. If you want a change in scenery, you'll find almost anything you want somewhere in the USA.
So simple question:
How many of the 50 states have you visited?
(other nationalities can obviously answer but this is aimed at Americans)

I'm from Pennsylvania, I've visited New Jersey, Illinois, West Virginia, Ohio, Arizona, Michigan, and (not a state, but I feel like including it anyway) Washington DC. That's not including states I travelled through to get to the states mentioned.

None so far but one day, if I have the money to afford it, I'd like to go on a tour of the U.S.A or at least visit a few states from different areas. It seems to be a country with a wide variety of climates, landscapes an cultures, so I can't help but feel the people of that country must have very different views of the World, and it would be interesting to compare them.

Most of which are due to my past as an electrical surveyor that worked damn near every state between New York and Texas.

Let's see, are we counting states that we've traveled through but not actually stopped in? Well here goes to the best of my recollection.
New York (where I'm from) New Jersey Connecticut Pennsylvania Massachusetts Maine (was a port of call on a cruise I took) Rhode Island (drove through while going to Massachusetts) Delaware Maryland (drove through and went through on the train) Virginia North Carolina (went through on train) South Carolina (went through on train) Georgia Florida Ohio (stopover on plane flight, never left the airport) Nevada

I'd be interested in visiting the States one day. The farthest I've ever been is Baguio, the coldest place in the Philippines. I was still a kid then, and I was pretty much fascinated that there were fireplaces and that there's fog.
