I like this guy, loved his NXT matches with Tyson Kidd, and think he's a really good hand in the ring.....but his Heyman push FLOPPED HARD, good golly. this is almost on British Bulldog 1999 comeback level of a disastrous run

Holy exaggeration, Batman!
Far from 'disastrous'. And I'm not even a fan of the guy.

The trouble is he was brought up at a time when everyone's busy building Brock vs Punk.
Makes me wonder whether he was ever really going to be pushed or they just thought he'd be handy to have around when Brock isn't there and they need a bit of filler.

It hasn't even been 3 months yet. Did you expect him to win either the WWE or World title by now?

I honestly think the way they've pushed him has been intentional. He's lucking out in a lot of wins, and the way they're going about it seems very premeditated in that they're not trying to push him to the moon sincerely.

His next gimmick is Curtis Time-Capsule. Basically every five years or so when Triple H needs to go through some kind of "LOVE ME" storyline he digs him up, kicks him in the nuts and ass and then buries him again.

In what way is this disastrous? Its not like the British Bulldog, who was a big star at one point before he returned in 1999, and then he flopped. Michael McGillicutty was going nowhere, he got repackaged (kind of) and now he's the Intercontinental Champion. It might not be great, but its far from 'disastrous'.

His run being a flop is kind of overstated. I'm not a fan of the guy at all but he suffers from being overshadowed by Heyman, Punk, and Brock currently. Everything is about Heyman/Punk/Brock right now so he gets lost in the mix despite being involved.

you guys don't get the thing I'm hinting at: when he re-debuted, he was involved in main event matches, longer segments, mentioned alot as the new Heyman guy...and now he's getting reduced to being a 2 minute Punk whipping boy or involved in a 2 minute squassh and thats it
rather a sign of the powers-that-be getting tired of him

Nah he's just being lost in the shuffle of Brock and Punk. After Summerslam and Brock goes away and if Punk and Heyman distance themselves, they'll resume building Axel.

I still think things would have been better if he and Cesaro had swapped places. Talking about how he can't get an opportunity in WWE despite being a second generation superstar and blaming it on all those foreigners would have made him a perfect fit.

They needed a three man team to face Orton/Cena/Bryan. It was either them, 3MB or Wyatt Family and it wasn't going to be 3MB or the Wyatt Family. What was the last PPV pre-show? Still my point stands. Shield hasn't been doing much and have pointless title reigns.

I seriously doubt that they expected him to beat HHH and Cena by countout and that would somehow catapault him to superstardom. Especially since the HHH match was designed to work into the HHH/concussion/Vince/whatever story more than anything. He was getting longer segments because they were re-introducing him and Heyman needed something to do while Brock and Punk weren't around to start building towards that. How long was the match with Punk on Raw? It had to be at least a solid 10 minutes where he got some good offense in.

I dont think he has been disastrous, but I dont think he will ever become a real player. Ive said it before, he has zero charisma, and everything he does looks really forced and he never looks natural.

Did you expect him to win either the WWE or World title by now? Well, people seemed to expect him to beat HHH and Cena cleanly in his first two matches with Heyman, and complained when it didn't happen. So I imagine they did think he'd be world champion by now. But what he is, is a midcarder with Paul Heyman, which automatically makes him more relevant than your average midcarder. And he's fine as a midcarder. He doesn't need to be any more than that at the moment.

For a guy that was on Mason Ryan level 5 months ago, he's doing just fine atm.

He's gets reactions, and has good matches. Not sure what the whole problem is.
