Judging from the reaction across the board in the last 9 hours or so, Triple H being announced special referee for the SummerSlam match has gone down a treat, ( ) so let's get the cards on the table. What's the damage for a match that many have been looking forward to, but now has been made unnecessarily overbooked? Personally, that's all it is to me... unnecessary. It's still not enough to completely kill my interest in the match or the result. Somehow, I'm not expecting to be in the majority, though.

In a certain sense I'm more interested, though purely out of bile fascination. Match didn't have me all that interested honestly (though I am pulling for Bryan), but now I'm curious to see just what sort of train wreck comes out of this and if they can screw it up more than they already have.

Yep. I'm not going to 'wait and see how it turns out' because I've been made to look like a complete fool every time I've done that in the past.

Yes. Bryan wins but it's by BS. Repeat.

Not really, since they've been building up to McMahon/HHH shenanigans for so long now. I just want a quality match out of Bryan/Cena and I'll worry about the story implications after the match is over.

Never really cared for the match, and these recent HHH & Vince involvements made me care even less.

Yes. Bryan wins but it's by BS. Repeat. That actually brings up another point I did want to address... There are many cases in wrestling history where guys won their first world titles with shenanigans involved, yet they never get brought up at all as something that could be used against them. Steve Austin won his first title because of a Mike Tyson fast count after a ref bump. Mick Foley won his first on the back of an Austin chair shot. Eddie Guerrero? Interference from Goldberg helped a lot. So why could this be something that could be held against Bryan should he win the title not 100% squeaky clean? Yes, a clean victory is the best result for him, but something less than that isn't necessarily a career killer, in my opinion. This isn't targeting you or your opinion, this is just an interesting point I want get to some feedback on from the good people here.

I wouldn't say it's killed my interest in the match but it has diminished it.
Although when a match with many sports entertainment style (can't think of a better term) twists and turns is done right they can really add to an occasion and if that happens it should be a classic, however history shows it's slightly more likely to be a confusing or unsatisfying clusterf***.

For me it's just that Cena has been on top longer than anyone most viewers have watched long enough to remember. If you don't beat him clean he's still gonna be "The Guy".

My interest in the match isn't "dead" but it's certainly a lot less than it was & I feel that's not quite the reaction they were going it, it being a go-home show after all. Pretty sure the idea is to make the match more interesting week after week, instead I feel it's gotten less.

It's not completely killed my interest. But my interest has certainly waned. So I'm not really sure what to vote. I'll go with yes though since I am really upset at how much my interest has waned.

I can block it out since they established that McMahonMania was going to be involved at Summerslam from the beginning. So expect Vince to send out some cronies to try to interfere only to get shut down and the finish being relatively clean.

Nope, the match itself is going to be awesome no matter what. All it does for me is make the result even more unpredictable for me than it already was. I mean, what precisely are people afraid of anyway? The focus is still going to be on Bryan no matter the result anyway. Either Hunter aligns with Vince and turns on Bryan, or he gets laid out by Orton at some point during the match leading to him saving Bryan from the cash-in.
Those are the two ways or something similar to the latter I see happening. Either way, the HHHate is once again overblown.

I can't possibly express my distaste for having the McMahon family drama being a major focal point of anything in 2013.
It was f***ing stale 10 years ago. Now it's just insulting.
And before anyone says it, yeah I know it was someone at USA network that demanded more McMahons. I dont give a f***, as a fan, Im sick to death of evil authority figure storylines

Honestly, no. Despite HHH's addition being comical, I still fully expect an awesome match. I'm also morbidly curious to see where this HHH/Vince thing is going.

I wanna see both Vince and H laid out unconscious outside the ring while the match continues.

It feels like what they did with Punk & Bryan all over again, by adding AJ and the relationship craziness.
Thanks for poking my paranoia, WWE.
