This song melody was my head in this morning, and I couldn't place it.
After a few minutes of searching... I found it! I remember it from Sesame Street 30 some years ago, and not sure how my mind brought it out today. But I'm glad it did.

I first learned this song is Music class when I was a kid. It's great beginner song to learn phrasing if you're trying to teach yourself to sing or taking lessons. Written by Joe Raposo, composer of many Sesame Street songs. I'd say The Carpenters is arguably the definitive recorded version.
